Evil Bong 2: King Bong (2009)
Almost a Cult Hit
This movie starts out surprisingly strong with Larnell being paranoid but in a way that keeps you listening then the other characters show up and it's harder to watch. Everything runs smooth until they introduce the Amazon. They have dialogue in this that totally misses the mark. A moment between larnell and his grandpa arguing could have been funny if the jokes did not center on his grandsons private areas. The. The biggest disappointment of all King Bong himself. This thing says the most homosexual remarks regarding cannabis consumption. The voice of kingbong continues to let you down throughout the movie. Eebee was refreshing. The dialogue drags on sometimes. But if you can stay close to the remote you can fast forward and find it mildly watchable.
The Wash (2001)
If you love Dre and Snoop
...Then pass on this movie. I was sad to see Dre can't act, Snoop played an a hole waayyyyyy to well, and the plot was weak. This movie is the whackness. There was a part where they show a dude stealing out of a wallet and I was waiting for something to happen annnnnnd he just stole the money and the movie continues on... haha I guess? That's pretty much the tone the whole movie - they do something a moral person wouldn't do and that's the joke. Also hard to believe this is a 2001 release where it came off like it was made before Friday. Which the humor in Friday is FUNNNY and worth a rewatch! This isn't worth a first watch -please leave a like if you sat through it or started it and turned it off. Thank you for reading!
History of the World: Part II (2023)
Historically Hilarious
History of the World Part 2 is a hilarious and irreverent comedy that takes a satirical look at some of the most significant moments in human history. Mel Brooks, the legendary comedic genius, brings his trademark gonzo humor to bear on topics ranging from the Roman Empire to the French Revolution, and everything in between.
The film is a riot from start to finish, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and clever jokes that will keep you entertained throughout.
Overall, "History of the World Part 2" is a classic comedy that is sure to delight fans of Mel Brooks and anyone who appreciates a good laugh. It may not be historically accurate, but it's definitely historically hilarious.
Pinocchio (2022)
So close!
Tom Hanks kills his role as Gepetto, the CGI was actually pretty great and the first 40 mins are awesome! But the film has added some "original" sequences that only slow down the movie and make it lackluster at the moments we'd really like to see the original just recreated. But you can be happy with the story line where it sticks to the old and adds enough to keep you watching....but it keeps adding and if you're going into the movie wanting to like it you'll still only get so far before you want to fast forward a few minutes ahead...but if you do so you'll save yourself sometime to watch something better! Tom Hanks makes it worth it! P. S Lots of direct "Be responsible messages" just in case the youth can't come to their own conclusion.
The Twilight Zone (2019)
AMAZING TWISTS
PLEASE WATCH SERIES IN THIS ORDER:
1. S1EP2 TERROR AT 30K FEET
(A man begins listening to a podcast that starts describing exactly what happens on his flight...what happens is insane.)
2. S1EP7 NOT ALL MEN
(A girl sees a meteor shower while on a first date and notices the town is different after one "cosmic" night.)
3. S1EP9 THE BLUE SCORPION
(A son and a legendary gun meet...and somehow has a bullet with his name on it.)
4. S1EP1 THE COMEDIAN
(A man finds out the hard out to not joke about certain things...)
5. Take it from here, Jordan Peele and his team made this for the times, EXACTLY LIKE ROD STERLING DID IN HIS TIME, it's eye opening and S1EP3 REPLAY was so hard to watch emotionally we did have to stick it out to the end in anguish. YOU WILL FEEL BUT DONT JUDGE. LEARN BUT DONT TURN OFF. "I wasn't proud of what I learned but I never doubted it was worth knowing."
Fear and Loathing in Aspen (2021)
Lookalikes don't make a movie...
This film draws together it's own adaptation of the YouTube documentaries on HST running for Sheriff in Aspen...and it is dreadful. I've watched hours and hours of Hunter S Thompson, quoted the man on a daily for years, bought clothes to look like him and even picked up an old typewriter. It's the effort you put into what you love that counts and the creators of this movie found a guy who resembled Hunter and that's about as much effort went into the film's making. Johnny Depp and Bill Murray both played Hunter S Thompson and they look nothing like him BUT THE FILMS WERE WATCHABLE. Save your time and YouTube Hunter instead, you'll thank me forever. -KC.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
The Best of the Three
Frodo carried the ring and Sam carried the movies. Laughable at times but it's enjoyable. I would have to say the first two are worth the watch but RoftheK's Orcs look like a Jim Henson and Star Wars nightmare also the orca act totally different than the first two. Watch the Fellowship ONLY and save yourself the hours.
An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn (2018)
It'll have its Cult
Everything from the hilarious dry mono tone humor to the diamond-in-the-rough studded cast. The soundtrack is one of a kind. The movie lingers in the mind & will have a following for sure! Watched it three times and still seeing things I didn't before. Cult movie lovers, we have a new baby.
