Ming yat zin gei (2022)
Subtitles translate the girls names to Sissy and Pansy?
I mainly decided to leave a review because of the weird subtitles but that is not the reason for the score and I'll try to give a fair review.
Easy to watch if you don't have anything better to watch but leave a lot to be desired. It follows a lot of your standard action movie plot tropes. The cgi is pretty good but I personally don't care about that. I found myself being somewhat engaged with the movie but that was mainly out of frustration with some of the actions of the characters. The very simplified action cliché's are kind of fun but there were a lot of moments where I was like ooooh it would have been badass it they did that. The movie lacks a lot in character development.
Not really worth to write more about it. Don't expect much but if you just want to have something to watch go ahead.
Men in Black: International (2019)
I don't think anyone liked making this movie.(a little bit of spoiler but spoiler nonetheless)
The writing was uninspired and without emotion. The directing was sloppy. And the actors got paid at least.
Now I can live with plot holes but even the emotional scenes lacked emotion ("hire me I have no life and i am dedicated" or "don't kill me you see me as a son and I see you as a dad"). This not only summed up the intended most emotional scenes in the movie but it is also almost the entire script of those scenes. A lot of the directing and editing was sloppy and the pace of the movie felt way off. The actors were fine but with the script they were given all they could do is try.
This movie is just a cash grab for the investors and something to be forgotten by everyone else.
