Impuratus (2022)
Very well executed, except the ending
Post The Exorcist, this is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.
Every bit is subtle and spooks the wits out of the audience.
What's best (for the film-makers) is it seems to have all been done on a low budget. It's awesome how they managed to achieve so much. Well, this fairy tale of a horror movie ends with the ending, unfortunately. For what is an already elongated movie (approximately 2hours and 11minutes), the ending seems to be haphazardly done with little thought. I'm sure the director visualized and presented the ending from their perspective, but fails to deliver the same to the audience. Hence, viewers are left with a not so clear and conclusive end.
Nevertheless, for the 98% of the movie that was done extremely well, the movie deserves a strong 9/10. It's unfortunate a few users decided to praise, yet bash up the rating.
The production team should have marketed this movie better. I happened to trip on its listing by chance and decided to give it a shot.
