Warning: Spoilers
This is not a good movie. Too preachy in parts and the story line was sub par. The 3D was OK, but not superb. I almost fell asleep in this movie.

The story is about 3 young flies that want to have adventure and follow up on it. The characters are lacking, I truly do not care about these characters and feel that there was nothing to keep an adult interested. Pixar this is not.

I would have liked to see more special 3D effects. Also I wold like to see more fly jokes than the mom constantly saying "Lord of the flies" Pretty sexist in showing the women as house wives and fainting.

Horribly Boring

YAWN.....

This is the first movie I did not mind having to get up and use the restroom in the middle of because I missed nothing.

I went into the theater excited about a beautiful period in history, I was prepared for historical mistakes, dialog issues, and costume irregularities.. all things I can overlook just to escape into someones idea of history. I did enjoy the beauty of the movie...

BUT COME ON.. enough still life shoots of food.

I wished there was some character development and some dialog. I understand trying to be edgy and contemporary, but that is exactly what it was... trying to be edgy.

Don't waste your money

Kudos to Jennifer Weiner for the novel. I think the screenplay was well written and gave the character of Maggie the right depth that Weiner had originally wanted. Rose was too thin in this movie for the role. I enjoyed this movie greatly, the acting was exceptional. I enjoy a story that shows families as they truly are.. dysfunctional and lovely at the same time. The cameo of Jennifer Weiner really made me smile, and the old people in this movie were a great way to teach lessons without the typical stereotypes of old people. Toni COlette played Rose perfectly, and I actualyy had seen her as Rose when I read the book. Cameron Diaz was the only person who could possibly make Maggie the monster and misunderstood angel that this role required. Very different role for Ms. Diaz.
