My hubby and I loved this series. We hope there will be a series 2, crossing fingers!

We love this kind of quirky English humor, it sort of reminds us of the Detectorists which the whole family absolutely loved.

The naysayers, who give this series a poor rating, just don't understand the quirky humor and whimsy that this show brings.

I am sad for them as they are missing out.

Maybe one needs to have an English heritage to get it?

We acted, well scripted, poignant and charming.

Turn off your need for something slick and open your heart to the pleasure of honest, loving, funny people who are willing to be part of a village.

I used to be mostly embarrassed and bored by our Australian serials but this is top notch drama. It is very perceptive and sensitive regarding the terrible experience of many Australians due to the recent and immense bushfires and it keeps the viewer enthralled throughout the series. I am so proud of so many new series that are made here as they are not only original but so well acted and directed. When I look at more USA's dramas they are just so repetitive and quite frankly dull although there are some brilliant ones but they are few and far between. Give recent Australian dramas a go, you will be surprised.

Deb Mailman is incredible in her role. I love love this tv series. Series one was fantastic but Series two....is awesome.

The story of Australian politics is so up to date with what is happening right now.

May the independents win the next election and leave out 2 party idiots out of the game altogether.

My husband and I, married 25 years, were very impressed with this movie.

Other reviewers, sad to say, saw it as fake and pretentious.

This is not true. We found ourselves going ''oh yes, that's been us" and "gee that sounds so familiar" over and over again.

When in relationship we had to go through a lot of confrontations, growth and stretching. This is what Malcolm and Marie was all about.

Marie had to stand in her insecurity and lack of self approval and fight to be recognized for who she is to Malcolm.

Good relationships can help people to grow with this type of interaction. It's not easy and it takes courage, vulnerability and determination. It is not always pretty. This is not a "they lived happily ever after with no fighting''. This is real stuff!

We loved it as we both recognized this writers incredible insight.

Good dialogue between the lovers. Sounded like something from real life which is not too common movies from the USA. Good acting. Believable. Set in the Philippines.

Such an enigmatic man in such a remote place. I loved it!

I am 6 foot tall woman. I grew to this height in 1 year at the age of 13. At 12 years old was not alone in my height but by 13 years old I was very much alone. There were no boys or girls in my high school who were as tall as me. I was not treated very well. If they weren't bulling me then they just avoided me as they saw potential issues with the other kids if they were seen with me. I was not a bad looking girl but I stooped trying to be smaller which didn't help my image. I wanted so much to be shorter. So to the women who have reviewed this movie so disparagingly and to the other who rated so low for other reasons I really don't understand you take. The movie was well acted, the script was good and the message was lovely. I have a 11 year old great niece who loved the movie and the message. I have seen much worse movies that have better reviews than this one so I really wonder at the way this movie has been disparaged. I for one identified with it. I wish I had gone to the prom and spoke up like she did. I wish I had had the guts to join the drama club at high school. I wanted to so much but just couldn't face it. I wondered what I would have been cast as? A boy? This would have been too hard for a 13 year old girl who just wanted to have boys interested in her. Yes I wasn't full of courage but I wasn't and that is sometimes how it is.

I found this show deeply insightful into the complete confusion and dilemma of being a human in the world today. Probably too revealing of a world that had gone completely mad for most people. Despite the fact that it never goes past season one, I still found what it had to say amazingly sharp, brave, well acted, with a fantastic script. This was not another soapie or goodies versus badies show to become even more catatonic on. It was a statement of our complete loss of sense in a world we have made which has become so lost we don't have any idea of what we are and what we are doing anymore.

The kind of best friend I would love to have would be Emma Dawes. The character has such loving exuberance. I love hers and Daniels friendship. They fight and then it's done. That is how all friendship should be like.

The humor is quiet and understated which is the kind of humor I love.

I am so disappointed I have just watched all of season 1 in the last week and there is only one more to watch (so far) of season 2.

I think my husband is wondering what has happened to me. I am feeling so playful, thanks to this lovely script.

Intelligent sci-fi. No holes in the plot (so far), great characters, and it holds the tension really well. It doesn't spoon feed me answers, which I love. I love sci-fi, but only when it is intelligently written and this is. It keeps me very alert for any clues as to why and what is happening. The characters and their interactions are so interesting and real that the idea of a slow plot just isn't an issue for me. It makes me question, in a real way, what death really means and what I would do if a loved one come back from the dead after I had 'moved' on.

Nature is mankinds way of being able to feel something that is completely lost in our modern world. New Yorkers get fearful when they go into national parks. This is because they have become so disconnected with the energy of nature they see it as a threat. This movie is a sweet way of showing that connection. Without this connection to the wild, our world is dying because we didn't know how important it is. This movie has been canned by reviewers who themselves are disconnected. If you can understand what I am saying then ignore their reviews and watch this movie. This movie also demonstrates the strength of goals, goals that are for all humanity not just for the the greedy few.
