Gilmore Girls (2000–2007)

Entertaining

I really like this show. It has drama, romance, and comedy all rolled into one. I am 28 and I am a married mother, so I can identify both with Lorelei's and Rory's experiences in the show. I have been watching mostly the repeats on the Family Channel lately, so I am not up-to-date on what is going on now. I think females would like this show more than males, but I know some men out there would enjoy it! I really like that is an hour long and not a half hour, as th hour seems to fly by when I am watching it! Give it a chance if you have never seen the show! I think Lorelei and Luke are my favorite characters on the show though, mainly because of the way they are with one another. How could you not see something was there (or take that long to see it I guess I should say)?

Happy viewing!

Clifford's Puppy Days (2003–2006)
Great children's show

My son loves this show. It is quite cute and entertaining. I even enjoy it as a mother. I know it is quality TV. I like John Ritter's voice as Clifford in the "Clifford the Big Red Dog" series, but since that is not possible, and since Clifford is a pup in this show, the voice is very appropriate. There are many different friends and pets in this show to make it entertaining. Highly recommended for children of all ages!

My son and I watch this cartoon every weekday morning. He is very much into dogs/puppies, so he loves it. Educational and entertaining. You can't beat that!

The Backyardigans (2004–2013)
Great new cartoon

I don't think there are TOO many good cartoons that are new out there there days, but this is definitely one that proved me wrong. I started watching this when my son was quite little. He didn't even comprehend it at all. Now that he is 16 months he really enjoys it. He also really likes one of the books we have of this cartoon. There is a lot of singing and dancing on this show, and I think that is a big plus in keeping little ones entertained. Plus, it deals with make believe and imaging yourself in another land unlike your own. The characters are unique and colorful.

I highly recommend this cartoon to anyone with or without kids! If you like cartoons, this could be one for you to watch!

Great show for little ones!

My son really likes this show (he is 16 months). It has animals and songs, which are two of his favorite things. Not a lot can hold his interest, but this is one of the few cartoons that does. Plus, it doesn't bother me too much to watch it. Some of the newer cartoons I just don't like. I also highly recommend the Backyardigans for this age, Clifford, and Clifford's Puppy Days. All of his favorites.

It's a Big, Big World is mainly about a giant sloth and his other animal friends, which include a fish, a couple of monkey's, a bird, and a tree frog. Also, there is a knowledgeable turtle whom they go to for advice. It is entertaining and educational.
