Well rounded & positive show in every way!

Well rounded & positive show in every way This was my 2 yr old sons first cartoon series exposure. Happily, show hit all the positive educational, social and emotional marks. These are my favorite aspects of this series... 1. The theme song is enjoyable, original, unique and the lyrics tell you exactly what you can expect from the story without ever becoming mind numbingly annoying. It is one of the only theme songs we both sing together and don't get sick of. The theme song is fun, upbeat and has a unique eclectic sound with various cultural influences. It is very representative of the diverse city community these characters inhabit. I wish more cartoons were so intentional and unique with their theme songs. 2. The theme song title which is "love makes little things grow." It reinforces positive feelings between children and their caretakers. 3. I like that that Clifford and the animals have their own distinct social community seperate from Emily Elizabeth and the other kids. This mirrors real life where children have their school relationships seperate from home relationships. It promotes the idea of hearty, social independence. 4. Clifford cannot talk to Emily Elizabeth but they still show love to each other in non verbal ways by being present together, observant, hugging/body language, patience, loyalty and empathy. 5. The adults are represented very positively in the show. They are present, supportive, kind and offer help when needed while promoting a good balance of independence and mutual respect. 6. I love the diversity in this show. It premiered in the early 2000's and was years ahead in this aspect! There are black, Asian, white, Hispanic, Jewish, elderly, young and disabled characters of all ages. All presented in a positive light as a tight knit community working together. Some episodes focus on team effort to better their community/environment together. 7. The lead characters are a small puppy who is constantly over coming challenges regarding his size while using his EQ to problem solve and an 8/9 year old GIRL who models respect for others and social problem solving and communication and empathy. Awesome! 10. Love Henry winklers performance as Norville 11. in my opinion this is the most perfect cartoon format/model/story ever created for kids under 6. This series still surpasses the latest version of the Clifford cartoon series in 2020. Clifford puppy days is the best in the Clifford series. Please, bring this one back or create more like it!

Trash Truck (2020–2021)
10/10
This series perfectly captures the innocence and thought process of a preschooler

"Trash truck" the cartoon series is a return to simple age appropriate cartoon stories for preschoolers. This series perfectly captures the innocence and thought process of a preschooler. Minus all the obnoxious intense, fast pacing and toy marketing. Story first. The relationships between the characters are respectful and thoughtful with just the right amount of whimsy. This show demonstrates how a preschooler has the potential to use their imagination as a tool to navigate the every day world around them. I grew up on Glen Keanes character illustrations myself. Glen Keane productions on Netflix is one of my favorite things to happen during this dismal year. I'm so happy to share this show with my 3 year old son knowing the content is thoughtful and high quality. Cannot say enough good things!
