Quantum Leap: Memphis Melody - July 3, 1954 (1993)
Sam becomes Elvis
This was a fun episode. I am not an Elvis Presley fan and never have been. This episode, however, had Elvis before he was all glitz and I enjoyed the gospel songs as well as the more pop songs. The story line was fun too. I am sure that the basic events were true, but the side story was fun.
Perry Mason: The Case of the Long-Legged Models (1958)
Mistake in timing?
Mason leaves Garvin as Garvin receives a phone call. Then we see him get in his car and drive around the corner. Stephanie Faulkner is at the bottom of the back stairs and, Trang is already out front! We're the homicide squad and Stephanie lingering outside Garvin's door?
How all this happen in the time it took Mason to get downstairs and get in his car?
Murder, She Wrote (1984)
Michael Haggerty, Harry McGraw, Dennis Stanton
It is too bad that some of these characters never met in any episode. It would have been fun, especially Dennis Stanton and ichael Haggerty, but toss Harry McGraw into the mix and it would have been a lot of fun, in my opinion.
Perry Mason: The Case of the Velvet Claws (1963)
Gardner's First Mason Book made for TV
This episode did not start the the series, and maybe it should have. But the plot is brilliant and the acting fabulous. Della was never impressed by Eva, and she had reason to have that attitude.
But the outstanding performance by Patricia Berry is what makes this episode. And, unusually, there is no court room scene.
Midsomer Murders: Death of a Hollow Man (1998)
Murder or suicide?
If I had a very sharp knife/razor would I press hard enough and along my lower neck to cause damage? I could draw blood by lightly cutting upwards. On the stage it would look the same.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service (2003)
I love the show but...
I do love this show. I have only two negative comments.
First, Tim McGee is supposed to be an Eagle Scout and steeped in nature lore. But twice, in early episodes, he does not recognize poison ivy. Poison ivy is fairly recognizable andeven Tony knew it.
Second, as much as I love the show, the only original cast member is Mark Harmon and an occasional appearance by David McCallum. Sigh. It might be time to hang up the seabag and concentrate on the Los Angeles and New Orleans shows.
