Civil War (2024)
A wake up call to Americans who don't vote
I have just seen this film tonight as I am in Australia. This film is an insight into what the USA can easily turn into if just enough of the population become radicals, hence forcing sane Americans to take back their country from the radicals. That's the message I got. The film also shows a spotlight into the dangers of journalism in war. I gave this film a 8 out of 10 because it would have been good to get more of a back story about the President who was ultimately shot dead at the end of the film. This is not a date night movie, and certainly not recommended for children as the "violence" is very realistic. If you're an American and eligible to vote, and don't - then this film is your wake up call!!! Enrol to vote, and vote.
I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007)
Worst movie I have ever seen
Firstly I have to say that I do love comedy films, however this film would have to be the worst film I have seen in a very very long time. I seems cheaply made and poorly written and rushed. I didn't laugh once during the film. Do not waste you time watching this.
RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under (2021)
Disappointing season
As a person living in Australia, I was looking forward to Drag Race Down Under. What I saw was a cheap production, with many drag queens who have had a racist past. If I was Rupaul I wouldn't bother with another season of Drag Race Down Under. If you are looking to watch an "international" version of Drag Race I would suggest checking out the UK version.
Dave Chappelle: The Closer (2021)
He's become another white politician that you see on Foxnews
Ive just watched "The Closer". There are white heterosexual politicians who use transgender rights to create wedge issues and peddle false assumptions to gain votes from voters who have no or little understanding of transgender issues and rights. Unfortunately Dave Chappelle has become another white heterosexual politician who is peddling anti-trans myths and creating division all in an attempt for votes which in his case is money at the expense of others. Im no longer a fan.
Good Joe Bell (2020)
Film unfairly rated by some IMDb members
I've just watched the film. While it's not 100% perfect, I do think that some people are being unnecessarily harsh in their reviews - especially when you click their profile and see the ratings they have given other films. This film had a very good message and was realistic. Suicide affects everyone differently. This is not a happy film, and you probably will leave the cinema sad. If your an adult with teen children, then this film is worth watching with them. And answering any questions that they may have honestly without bias.
Luxe Listings Sydney (2021)
Amazing houses, but.....
Ive just watched the entire season of Luxe Listings Sydney. The houses are mostly amazing and that kept me watching. However I felt the show was ruined by the real estate agents, which in my opinion were not very likeable humans - with the exception of agent D'Leanne Lewis. If I had a million dollar mansion, I would never list it for sale with those agents on the show.
The Prince (2021)
Not as funny as I expected
Ive just watched the entire season, I won't be watching again. Yes, some of the jokes are not funny (and 8 year old Prince George is comparable to Stewie from Family Guy) which is why I believe 5 stars is suitable. I have read some of the comments on this website, and I do wonder if people have difficulty accepting that there is a possibility that Prince George may actually be gay. Anyway I do believe that this sitcom has an expiry date, and we don't need more than one season. Not worth purchasing to watch.
Warehouse Comedy Festival: Tom Ballard: Is What He Is (2011)
Tom Ballard is what he is: Warehouse Comedy Festival
Tom is a gay.
He is from Warrnambool.
He is a comedian.
In Is What He Is, Tom Ballard gives a candid account of coming to terms with his private bits in the 21st century. Tom's debut solo show is a hilarious hour of personal storytelling that will make you laugh, think, squirm and come to love your fellow human.
But not in a gay way.
Winner of Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Tom is one half of the triple j breakfast show Tom and Alex, has made jokes at the Prime Minister's face on Good News Week and is seen regularly on The Project.
Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011)
If you dislike Bieber, then why go to the movies to watch this documentary about him?
Sorry to state the obvious but this "documentary" is about about Justin Bieber, so if you don't like the kid then why pay money to see this "documentary" if you don't need to. If you have no opinion on Justin Bieber I would advise to just wait for the DVD and don't waste your money seeing this. Now if your a big fan of Justin Bieber then go and see this as you will probably enjoy it. I believe that it was a mistake for the "documentary" to be produced in 3D. Personally I found the movie boring as I already knew about Bieber and how he became famous, I only went to the theater as my younger sister wanted to see it. I don't hate Justin Bieber, I just don't like his music.
The History Boys (2006)
Horrible
This movie is total disaster. Here we have a gay male teacher who molestes the boys and yet nobody seems to care, in fact most of the boys volunteer to ride on his motorcycle so they can then be molested. The movie claims to be a comedy, so are we suppost to find the molestation funny ? I don't. Then near the end of the movie it goes into the future and one of the Grammar schools gay students is now a teacher and he admits he has trouble not molesting boys. This movies pushes gay rights and male teachers back twenty years and gives the impression that gays are a danger to boys. I cant help but wonder if the creator of this movie is a religious fundamentalist who hates gays. Totally sick movie.
