Top 10 things I DESPISE about IMDB message boards.
10. People who think that since they have been registered longer it somehow makes their posts/arguments more valid.
9. People who build their sense of self-respect based on how popular they are on a message board for a TV show.
8. Idiots who don't bother seeing if there is already an existing topic on the front page before creating a duplicate one.
7. Shills. Eat a dick.
6. Message board cliques and watching grown adults descend into ridiculous adolescent behavior because of them. Seriously, you guys are some of the most pathetic people on the face of the planet.
5. People who have no life outside of a TV show message board so they constantly post off topic threads as a substitute for normal human interaction.
4. Bad trolls... this include 99% of them who think they're clever. They come on a board and just make stupid topics and jerk each other off. It's not clever, it's not funny, and it's certainly not an indication of intelligence. You've done nothing but show the world what a worthless *beep* you are.
3. People who want to be involved in a flame war until they get insulted and realize they aren't as good at this sort of thing as they thought they were. Then they go running to report people because their little feelings got hurt. Piece of *beep* hypocrites.
2. People who get overly involved in the relationships on a TV show to where it actually affects them in real life. This definitely includes anyone who seriously discusses or invents combined character names to indicate a romantic involvement. I hate you.
1. Anyone who uses the term "ship" to refer to matters of relationship (along with anyone who says "za" instead of pizza and "rents" instead of parents). You are the worst. I hate you even more than the people in #2. If there is ever a reason to sort humanity into groups of "People who get to survive" and "People who must be sacrificed/left behind" then these folks have surely demonstrated their expendability.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022)
Pretty good story ruined by Anime
The dialogue is a bit stilted (English dub) but the story is kind of neat. Would have been better as a live-action movie. Anime is just so stupid it takes me out of the story. What's with the constant random moans and groans? Is he having a secret orgasm? What's going on there? The constant gaping mouth, wiggling eyes, and ridiculous non-verbal mouth sounds.. just why? Also, why do their heads randomly change shape and structure? One minute Maine has his normal head, the next it looks like a pencil sticking up out of a suddenly fat body. How does Rebecca get her clownishly large hands through the sleeves of her shirts? Also, since her fingers are now 16X larger than a normal person's, how can she just pick up normal person's guns and use them? Kiwi has cybernetic nipples... is there any functionality to that, or was she like "hey, I want green plastic nipples"? Also, pretty much every scene where they drive around and bump armored carriers off the road with their little car and then suddenly a bunch of other cars are ping-ponging around like Legos, yeah, pretty stupid looking. I had no idea that in Anime Land cars just sort of bounce around, undamaged, until they suddenly explode.
Tl;dr - Love cyberpunk, decent story, anime SUCKSand ruins everything.
Superpowered: The DC Story (2023)
Somehow they managed to make Superheroes boring
Kind of a struggle to get through. They take the positive aspects of comic books and insert so much ridiculous overblown hyperbole into them that by the time you get to the interesting bits you're a bit exhausted.
The people interviewed are, more often than not, hack inheritors of this stuff who have nothing interesting to say, i.e. The same people ruining comic book-related media now. No one cares what these idiots have to say.
This could have been so much more interesting, so easily. Focus on what makes the characters great. Focus on the people who made the characters great. It's not hard.
The Ark (2023)
Watch for humor only
This show manages to continue inspiring awe in its ability to be BAD. I'm only watching now for laughs. I can't imagine anyone actually watched this post-production before releasing it, unless it really is an inside joke. The NPCs in Skyrim have more natural and believable dialogue. Also, the show seems dedicated to casting the ugliest people I've seen on TV on a while. If you can think of a stupid mindless annoying sci-fi trope, this show has it, oh yes, it has it.
The fight scene between Captain Ugly, Token Scottish, and random angry wooden Crew NPCS #8 and #13, in episode 9, inspired me to write this. Oh, lord, it's bad. Bad bad bad. If you thought whats-her-face girl-slapping a stormtrooper into unconsciousness in Obi-Wan was bad, well this show says "Hold my beer!"
Watching someone play The Sims is fart deeper and more engrossing, and you'd care about the characters more.
Oh, and to pad this out so I can post it, I laughed my butt off when the 20-something JUNIOR engineer (GIRL POWER!!) who left Earth while Faster than Light travel was still only theoretical, retro-fits an FTL engine to their ship, fancy interface and all. OH MY! :D.
The Challenge: World Championship (2023)
Worst competition show ever.
Nauseating. Combined episodes 1 and 2, with a run time of 70:24 had about 20 minutes of actual competition. The rest was Twitter-level narcissistic regurgitation, dramatic "DUNDUNDUN!"s, and the host repeating himself over and over and over... "Is that your final decision?" cut-away "Like, oh.. Mah god! I can't believe it!" back to host "Is that your final decision?" cut-away "I can't believe they picked her, like ermagerd!!!" back to host "Are you positive?"
Watching this show is agonizing. The competitors are almost all kind-of revolting people. The dramatic music and sound effects are really pathetic. If you enjoy listening to idiots debate who they are going to choose for whatever needlessly convoluted BS is about to eventually happen, for 10 times longer than the actual time allotted to that BS, then this show is for you.
Garbage TV.
The Outlaws (2021)
Pretty good show
Better once it gets going. I enjoyed the 2nd season more. I would have rated it higher but the "Gabby" character made me want to drive a screwdriver into my skull every moment she was on screen. It would be different if she was written to be an utterly detestable character, but I think she was intended to be likable/sympthetic. Big fail there. If I see her stupid idiotic face pop in any other TV shows/Movies, I'll likely stop watching. Probably the best part of the show is the interchange between the sad left-wing activist caricature and the conservative businessman. The occasional commentary on Stephen Merchant's character were probably the biggest laughs.
Killing It (2022)
Hooked me
Craig Robinson can almost do no wrong. Love this guy. Loved every episode. The comedy is smart enough to keep me very interested and dumb enough so it's not some snooty BS. It's perfect. I'm not one to laugh out loud when watching something alone, but with this show I did. The friendship between the 2 main leads is great and sweet and devoid of the stupid "will they/won't they" garbage, just 2 people watching each other's backs, and sacrificing for each other. I also love love LOVE how they make fun of idiot youtubers. It was so on point. It's definitely not a family show, but, aside from a few hilariously 'not family friendly' scenes, it's not a show that dwells heavily in adult themes. If Peacock can produce more material of this quality they might just be a break-out success.
Highly recommended!
