Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders: Episode 1 (2017)
Starting the Series Just Right
This episode explored how the two brothers became primary suspects in the killings of the Menendez couple. It gradually shows the build up of evidence which is a good start since these sightings of the detectives, their collection and interviews will be important later on whether or not they will be acquitted or not. The storyline, chronology of events and script are just right to explore all of these.
As per the acting, Eddie Falco and the detectives were superb. But other actors seemed to lack the right gestures to sway my emotions.
Cinematography is just right, nothing superb.
Looking forward to other episodes as I am young for my age and not living in the USA to know this case. That's why I'm thrilled for the development of the case and its results based on this series.
The Hows of Us (2018)
Story and Characters are cliche and boring
Acting is substandard. Story is utterly boring. Very cliche characters and story. Ending is rushed.
Criminal Minds: Riding the Lightning (2006)
Well-written, Thought Provoking and Emotionally Swaying Film
The film is very well-written as it gradually exposes each mysteries of the story in the way that makes the audience want to continue the episode and gets them thinking for what will happen next. The transition of the scenes were aesthetically arranged as to not spoil the ending of the case. Expressions of the actors plus the music makes the scenes more emotionally swaying. The episode tackles the story of an unselfish mother who will do whatever it takes to protect and give his son a better future in a non-cliché way. I literally had tears after the episode. Overall, It is one of the best episodes I've ever seen and worth the watch.
