The Expanse: Dandelion Sky (2018)
Garbage
Just what the hell is going on. Everyone is acting like incompetent morons in fact it's been like that for a few episodes now.
Why would the minister even be in the flight control room giving opinions on why they shouldn't send drones to investigate the core.
Why hasn't holden tried to explain he didn't send the original message threatening the inners at any point since he left the ship with the the dead cop dude.
How does someone like julie Maus sister get literally anywhere on the ship without challenge. In fact the only point at which she is challenged is where she wants access to the air lock and is denied. The next scene she's accessing the air lock.
How does this version of the human race which has reached this level of advanced tech and ingenuity behave so dumb is beyond me.
The Creator (2023)
Just Bad
Went to see this with my Son hoping we would be entertained. This is just a bad bad movie the plot is pancake thin and doesn't make sense. Special forces are not really special forces no one appears to be in charge and orders are disregarded out of hand.
A monkey actually purposefully detonated a bomb which i think was supposed to be a comedy twist but wasn't funny.
Its supposed to be about AI but it has
nothing to do with AI at all. Just really dumb AI that are oppressed by an evil American Corporation. In fact it's a real Ant-American movie. I know the yanks are trouble makers but they pushed this one way too far.
I was shocked about how bad this movie was. I walked out of the cinema in utter disbelief at what i'd paid to see.
Andor: One Way Out (2022)
Magnificent Episode
Just when you think this can't get any better! What a fantastic episode this is. It's got everything. Liberation, Sacrifice, Real Hero's, and a cast that can absolutely deliver these things with indisputable quality.
Skeleton Skasgards epic speech at the end is without doubt the most moving part of the episode. He sums up the lengths which must and have been taken by him to imagine any kind of future worth living in.
So pleased Disney finally promoted a version of Star Wars that's intelligently written. This show parallels our own world struggles and the quality performances and gripping story make for premium quality viewing.
Andor (2022)
Very Well Done
Mainstream SW died to me years ago it's basically for kids. This show however proves just what can be done with an imagination.
I mean the star wars universe has so much potential from a story telling perspective and it's being nailed here so far and has a cast to back it up!
Great acting and performances good character development and the story so far is keeping me interested.
The same guy who directed Rogue One has a hand in this creation and it matches the same quality in terms of acting performances and story.
Why Disney keeps churning the lame Jedi vs Sith storyline is beyond me there's more to this universe and i'm impressed by this iteration so far!
Stranger Things: Chapter Six: The Dive (2022)
Utterly boring
This series has just become incredibly slow and boring. The storey crawls along and hardly gets anywhere. The teams at opposite of ends of the country are more interested in relationships with each other than making any real progress towards than stopping the bad guys.
Oh and please stop with all the lame comedy moments it's just so cringe.
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
Mediocre at best
Really nothing new or that exciting here. Most of this has been done before and it's certainly not as well written or interesting as Black Mirror.
Animations are great in some episodes and the voice acting can be good.
Overall it's very average and forgettable.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Very Annoying
Most cheesy film i've ever watched. Tries to be funny and it just falls flat. It's got to be the most annoying film i've seen in years. Full of cliché and ridiculously bad acting. To top it all off there's even a section that questions why there's no black spider-man! Not sure what the point was here was it call itself a racist franchise or something or trying to make another completely rubbish joke!
If you like to cringe you will literally love this!
Battle: Los Angeles (2011)
Great Action Entertainment
Great action sequences, acting and lead characters are spot on. I guess there's a lot of hoohaa and marine speak but hey it's an American movie about their Marines.
To be honest i loved the film for what it was and it's entertainment from start to finish. Beats Independence Day by a mile.
Sherpa (2015)
Imperialist Narcissism
If people ever needed a reason to hate western capitalist culture they need look no further than this docu. I was ashamed and felt disgraced. I'd be even more ashamed if i were an American though. 16 Sherpas died on that mountain and some American dude likens the villagers to terrorsists, just because they cancel the climbing season and he doesn't get to get 'chauffeur driven' to the top.
This wasn't the only shocker either. Comments ranging from "who owns these Sherpas" to "these boys" (referring to the sherpas) make you realise that the privileged entitlement behaviour displayed by the passenger climbers is abhorrent.
Shocking story but well documented. The whole thing is a shameful reflection of imperialist greed and narcissism.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
Worth Watching although...
Very Good ......only criticism is that the people who created this and seem ingly everything else on Tv at the moment has to have something to do with BLM and how the white man has downtrodden the black man. Seriously it's just sad when it has to be rammed down everyone's throats constantly.
The One (2021)
Utter Garbage
Watched the first 20 minutes and couldn't bare anymore. Poorly acted, not a single likeable character. It's just messy and so unrealistic not just in terms of the storyline but the way in which the characters interact with each other.
Watch this at your peril
A Most Wanted Man (2014)
A Good Spy Movie
I would like to say Great but it was too predictable. Good performances all round from all the cast though. It wasn't very tense or edgy which i tend to find makes these films that bit better. On the whole an enjoyable watch but don't expect to be blown away
Freaks (2018)
Gripping
Xmen without that egos. Great story, great characters. It's one of the best films on Netflix right now. Marvel and DC with there sense of entitlement to all things sci-fi and superhero genre really do need to take a look at how these things should be done properly.
Ash vs Evil Dead (2015)
Farkin Cool
Oh my god this is the funniest series i have ever watched. Why oh why did this ever get cancelled. Great characters and comedy probably the best laugh i've had in ages watching a series
Hereditary (2018)
Heads will Roll
Quite entertaining but utterly far fetched nonsense. A few shocking occurrences are worth the wait but i felt this movie was far to long and bits were unnecessary.
The whole mood is good and acting on point most of the time, although Gabriel Byrne's character is weak and stupid which is a bit annoying.
Definitely a bit quirky but unique in many respects which is why it keeps it's appeal through all 134 mins of it.
Dirty Money (2018)
One sided American points of view
I can never really get along with American documentaries simply because they exaggerate everything. You can tell if an american is lieing just by seeing if their lips move when they speak.
Take the VW episode the main interviewer had no clue that the VW plant in Germany is the largest factory on the planet. So the main investigating journalist has no clue about the company he's investigating which is ridiculous considering that's his job. Most of this seems to be a one sided story. It seems all the american VW directors were clueless and it was a German head Office thing ....yeah right
Any foreign company entering such a fiercely competitive car manufacturing market, trying to shake things up to dominate market share USA will be sabotaged and that's probably what happened here..
believe what you want here but there's so much money at steak here i wouldn't put it past government to step in and protect there own
Dunkirk (2017)
Watch only if you've had a few
It didn't take me long to realise i might need a few drinks to liven my brain up whilst watching this, It was so boring. At one point I left the comfort of my front room to do some jobs round the house, when i came back we were still on the same boring sequence. It's tedious it's overhyped and mumbling muffled lines are just annoying.
Rotten (2018)
Disappointing Twisted Facts
Oh my god this was more like an advert for avocados, hell they even put one in half way through! One minute they show you some poor old farmer cos he's had his farm starved of water by an avocado farm. The next minute they're bagging on about how sad it is an avocados farmer has lost his water to a natural drought. Seriously that farmer who's lost his 'lively hood' doesn't look like he's doing to bad to me!
The Truth About Killer Robots (2018)
Just No
Very boring and i'm guessing hastily put together. I don't doubt automation has taken over countless jobs, but come on it's just scaremongering. Listen if everything becomes automated and no one has any jobs and subsequently no money then what's the point of it all. I suppose you'll tell me Robots will sell stuff to Robots next
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Perfectly Ghostly
Wasn't quite sure what to make of it after the first few episodes or what to expect, however, the story and characters were very intriguing. At episode 4 things take a turn for the surreal and it really gets quite spooky and kicks on really well.
It's a bit of a slow burner but that's where it really shines. Anybody expecting to race through this needs to soak in the atmosphere, characters and enjoy at a slower pace
The Cat in the Hat (2003)
One of my favourite kids movies
You'll either love it or hate it. My kids still love this now and they're all grown up!
Hot Rod (2007)
Amazingly Funny
One of the funniest movie most people have never seen. Hilariously stupid... Great sound track
Intelligence (2020)
Couldn't even raise a smile
It's just not good at all. Really painful to watch. Avoid Avoid
UFO (2018)
Thought Provoking
Well this would appeal to anyone who loves the whole 'are we alone in the universe' question. A lot more subtle than Close Encounters movie and also reminded me of an older film called Contact with Jodie Foster.
Refreshing and enjoyable watch. Loved the main Character totally beleiveable as a mathematics prodigy (probably because that part made no sense to me at all).
Crypto (2019)
Very Underated
Not really sure where all the negative reviews came from with this film. The film had strong performances from its cast and was thoroughly enjoyable. I think because the lead wasn't your stereotypical slueth type people took an instant dislike. It was excellent and is well worth watching
