Rampage (2009)
8/10
Great actors in a good movie with a superb twist.
4 June 2010
The ratings would be much higher, if this movie had another directors name on it. But since it's a Boll-Movie, it can't be good, right? Rampage is basically a movie about a guy on a killing spree, but Boll really managed to add depth to it. Believe it or not: this is a pretty clever flick. There is no black and white, no good or bad. Society is just f****d up in general and everybody seems to deal with that differently.

So it's not a nihilistic vision of our society. It's not dragging you down like a depressing Larry Clark- or Lars Von Trier-flick. It's not torture porn and it's not pseudo-artsy. It's simply a good movie, with great actors and a surprising twist in the end.

The editing and the cinematography were a bit wonky, though.

Visiting Uwe (2008 Video)
10/10
You will enjoy every minute
25 September 2008
I am not a fan of his movies, but you have to love the man. Other filmmakers just keep telling us the same boring PR-Crap over and over again. But Uwe Boll is keeping it real and his opinion on Hollywood and movie-making itself is priceless. It's no holds barred, when Uwe is setting the record straight. He may not be Hollywoods best man behind the camera, but he definitely kills in front of it!

While watching "Visiting Uwe", you will realize, that there is a bit of Boll in everyone of us. Let's be honest: We all think, that most of Jean Luc Godard's movies stunk - we are just afraid to admit the truth in public. But not Uwe Boll, our Don Quijote of the 21th Century!

Sit him in a chair, point the camera in his direction and keep rolling. Thats exactly, what the director of this documentary did and the result is purely amazing and highly entertaining.

I am looking forward to the release of "Revisiting Uwe". That's for sure!

Waiting... (I) (2005)
10/10
One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time
22 June 2006
Damn. I am impressed. This movie is not only funny. It is an amazing masterpiece. OK, some people might say, that there are some pretty crude jokes in this movie, but that's the way life is, when you work as a waiter. Believe me, I witnessed all that stuff myself. The cast is great, although Ryan Reynolds character seems like a cloned copy of his Van Wilder-Character in Party Animals.

While we are at it. Party Animals was funny in a stupid way. It was entertaining but dumb. Waiting is intelligent and a has a lot of lines in it, that you will remember for years.

"mama said these were my magic shoes. she said they'd take me anywhere. then again, mama used to beat me with a rubber hose and call me a retard."

I recommend the Two-Disc-Special-Unrated-Edition.

Man, I love this movie so much.
