Nobody (2021)
Thin story
Great actors, but really thin story (Americans fighting with Russians). For those of you who don't like long car hunts, you're going to be pleased with this.
The story could have been more trustworthy and I really feel like it didn't have to be so thin, with basically only adults shooting each other.
There are a lot of other action movies with more depth than this (for example "Edge of tomorrow" 2014 is a great example). Bob Odenkirk's great and he's also the one who's carrying almost all of the dialogue.
In fact there's almost no dialogue apart from when he opens his mouth. Sadly. The movie could probably have been improved with a smidge more dialogue.
Kärlek 3000 (2008)
Swedish 'the room'
A true gemstone. A more horrid movie has never seen the light of day in Sweden. Its hard to tell things apart. Is it the scripting, dialogue or characters that's the worst? It's actually not the stiff acting that's the worst.
There are so many similarities between this movie and the room. Both directors play the main lead. Both of them believed their movies to be dramas.
Kärlek 3000 is full of awkwardness and non believable stuff. For example: the main character's supposed to be 23 years old when there's nothing to support that.
This is a true gemstone of a movie. Absolutely cringeworthy. Watch it with a pillow to hide behind!
Ali & Ava (2021)
Great and dark
Shaun T is great as the emotioanlly unstable son Callum. The main actors portrait a truly believable romance. The movie is both a joy to watch, and at the same time it's rather sad.
There's something beautiful in the ordinary scenes in the movie. British wires hanging in clumps outdoors. The sounds.
The whole movie has a easy going simplicity over it but is at the same time deep, exploring emotions and relationships. The perspective is both a happy one and a sad one. You ss audience really feel the hardship and the love.
This movie suits a lot of people to watch, so please do so. You will not regret it.
Love in the Villa (2022)
Horrid and plain stupid - and almost no scenery
Unrealistic at an absurd level. Grown people dont trigger allergic reactions or behave this bad towards each other. Dear this movie is soxbad it actually hurts.
I did not have the energy to watch it until the end. Forty five minutes was enough. Horrible.
Dont watch it. Also there is no chemistry between the characters. At. All. Sorry. Furthermore the movie mostly takes place in doors for the first fifty minutes. Therefore you're not even able to enjoy the lovley views of Verona. Verona is a beautiful little city and its sad that most of the movie is showing just a made up home. Sad.
This review is supposed to be at least six hundred characters long but i really cant write anything more down.
Wedding Season (2022)
Horrid movie - lovely music
Utterly unrealistic that two independent, strong persons would accept to be dominated by their families. Bullied even. There is no chemistry between the two characters.
Great music, tho.
A Perfect Pairing (2022)
The rudeness
The main character is rude at a level one barely can handle. Her inability to ask questions and demanding the world is utterly annoyed and makes the audience cringe.
Horrid.
Love, Guaranteed (2020)
90's nostalgia trip
The film flirts successfully with 90's romcoms. However, there's no chemistry between the main charachters. However, not even the casting of Damon Wayans Jr can save this movie from being annoingly boring. Go watch romcom Love and other disasters or the satire Isn't it romantic instead.
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Genuinely one of the best movies I've ever seen
This is an amazing movie and please let me tell you why:
- Awesome satire with criticism towards fir example: war, antisemitism and people who just go with the flow without questioning leaders or politics.
- Awesome actors, beautiful scenarios.
- Mixes laugh with tears in an important way.
I genuinely loved this movie and really liked that it was told from a child's perspective.
Sierra Burgess Is a Loser (2018)
Problematic movie - try other ones!
She catfishes a boy. The movie does not problematise it, however. Not very hard to do. But it does not.
Furthermore, the characters lack depth.
Try watching "10 things I hate about you" for more quality. Even "John Tucker must die" is better than this.
To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (2020)
Sorry, it can't be saved
When writing a review it's important to highlight good things and things that needs to improve. Although in this case, only one sentence is needed: not even talented Holland Taylor and her wise character can save this movie from being a belly-flop.
Merry Happy Whatever (2019)
We've seen it all before
This show is trying to flirt with memories of previous TV-shows such as Married With Children. It has however not been adapted to the adequate year. Sad jokes about marriage, homosexuality and masculinity does not really work.
The actors are great. They have a good dynamic and the setting is great. But with a laughtrack that still haunts my mind and the painfully boring jokes I won't even finish the series.
It's just to painful.
Christmas with a View (2018)
As the youth would put it: "cringeworthy"
A truly cringeworthy movie. Lots of awkward "flirting", no chemistry between the characters and the story is just not convincing. The script must be awful, since it's a lot of lines that are just plain bad.
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding (2018)
A parody of a society and relationships
This is an excellent example of how not to make a movie. The roles are stereotypical and the love and affection between the characters are not believable at any level.
The production paid no attention to details in costume (some look so cheap, her wedding gowns as an example).
The conversations about how to govern the country are... horrendous. Do not watch this movie.
