Day Labor (2024)
A Super Thriller with a Cultural Message
I had heard about this up and coming moving Day Labor. It is suspenseful and kept you at the edge. I wanted to add the acting was very good. In watching the movie I found myself learning alot as the movie continued to educate me more regarding the importance of migrants trying to survive by taking on work as a Day Laborer. Praying that they survive the day and get to go home to their loved ones was eyewakening for me. I hope this movie inspite of just being a thriller will also have the affect on others who see it, and take away a realization that we must have more compassion and love rather than hate for any under privilege culture and take the time and learn. We are all the same people. I really loved the movie and the message. Great inspiration!!!
Everyone Is Doing Great (2018)
Perfection
I was a One Tree Hill fan so I really excited to watch the series. The writing is so good. It kept my interest through every episode. The acting is terrific!!
The show is fantastic and looking forward to season 2!!!
The Sky Is Pink (2019)
Heartfelt
I had heard about the movie from an interview I saw with Pryanka Chopra. So when I saw it was on Netflix I was excited to watch! It was sad but uplifting at the same time. Wonderful to see family and friends come together in time of need...such love!
All the actors were great! This was my first movie seeing Pryanka as an actor in her home language...she was amazing and incredible. Watching her on her former tv show in english didn't show her true talent as an actor. I hope more of her movies will be distributed to Netflix as I would watch them all with excitement seeing her act again!!!
Ryde (2017)
Definitely worth seeing!!!
I'm not one for horror movies but RYDE looked pretty interesting! So glad I decided to go because I loved it...here's why..The cinematography was absolutely beautiful...you felt as though you were right in the midst of every location...it was breath taking! The music score was a driving force through out the entire movie. It was in sync with every scene bringing so much excitement and emotion to the viewer.
The character Paul played by David Wachs a troubled young man with a dark side to him. His youthful and handsome look and his chiseled face says you really can't judge a book by it's cover. David Wachs proved what an amazing actor he is by his brilliant performance. Keeping the same temperament through out the the movie. It created more mystery and wanting to know more into the mind of this so angry young man.
Lending this for a sequel...yes I hope there is one...I was also reminded a lot of Christian Bale in American Psyco.
Jasmine played by Jessica Michel Safarty the heroine was the innocent that allowed us to see some vulnerability in Paul. She is beautiful and yet she kicked ass when attacked by the psycho Paul (David Wachs)great inspiration for women to know there is more to Jasmine then her sweet kind hearted self.
Frank Visciglia the writer/ director what an amazing concept in the age of Uber and Lyft. Thank you for bringing a weakness to all of us! The rest of the cast did a great job and we're enjoyable to watch. They helped break the tension with some of their delightful personalities.
The movie RYDE is tastefully done with so much excitement you'll be sitting at the edge of your sit..I loved this movie!!!
