Frasier (2023– )
5/10
Sadly, Misses the Mark
20 October 2023
I wanted to like the show as a fan of Cheers then the original Frasier, but, I just cannot.

The laughtrack is terrible and sounds an original one from decades ago. The acting is very poor. In one scene Freddy runs out of the room and I could almost read the script INT. FREDDY'S APARTMENT/LIVINGROOM Frasier speaks to Freddy. Freddy turns and runs out of the room.

The characters do not make sense, perhaps they do as the story progresses. The comedy is not funny, albeit a bit amusing in parts, but the genre is not "a bit amusing".

I hope for all involved it gets better and makes sense. Unfortunately, with so much great tv, I cannot waste any more time to find out.

So sorry to Kelsey Grammer and Jim Burrows.

Warning: Spoilers
Casey admist that she lied about everything, why does she think we will believe her now? She said she was thoroughly embarrassed, she does not demonstrate that once.

She accused someone she barely knew of kidnapping. It is like the Susan Smith story.

I do not think she killed her kid, but, that does not mean she does not know who did itm

She starts off the "show" by seemingly trying to make us feel bad that she does not have a biological family. You learn pretty soon why.

Casey Anthony was not a good person and that is sad. Her daughter being killed is tradegic. Casey's reaction to it all is despicable. It is amazing that she said "what was done to me" - not her daughter, but her, Casey Anthony.

Eccentric, right up my alley

Jason Segel, Sally Field, Andre 3000 and Eve Lindley are fantastic.

I love quirky and this fits the bill. As like so many eccentric films/series they can be hard to follow, but, worth it.

Fantastic

Warning: Spoilers
Great portrayal of the ERA. I did know know much about the story, definitely nothing is the opposing party.

Cate Blanchett did a great job acting as the head of the opposing party. It was hard to dislike her even though she was a hypocrite and her argument against the ERA was harmful to women.

The day I started watching the show is the day they announced Phyllis's death. At that time I heard about her career, which may never have been possible without the ERA movement.

Not what I expected

Warning: Spoilers
I had no idea what I was about to watch. Very disturbing and sickening but really well done. I am amazed at what the narrators and a group of people did to try and find the perpetrator.

Watched it because of Mads and was pleasantly surprised that it was not his typical style of movie.
