Lessons in Chemistry (2023)
Beautiful through and through!
Brie Larson as you've never seen her before, warm, calm, intelligent and stunning. She portrayed Elizabeth Zott from quite and sharp scientist, to warm and bright human. The subtleties of her character development were a joy to savour!
The entire cast was stellar, Lewis Pullman, dashing and complicated, Aja Naomi King, portrayed the angst and resilience a woman of her time had to go through, and showcase that life is not fair... the list goes on.
It was beautifully directed and brought together to a delicious finale! Tasteful storytelling that is beautiful on the eye.
Probably best show this year. Bravo!
Station Eleven (2021)
One of the most beautifully written shows I have ever watched!
While it might be tough to get into this post-pandemic/apocalypse show in the beginning due to all the different pieces, once it starts coming together mid-season onwards, it is phenomenal, from incredible performances by EVERYONE to Mindblowingly beautiful storytelling.
Terrifyingly relevant in our pandemic age, but hopeful, human, and moving.
This is definitely one of the best written shows I have ever watched.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
A class act!
Brilliant acting, cinematography, soundtrack, wardrobe and above all directing.
A class act of a series that is absolutely spellbinding, from its spectacular leading lady to the storytelling that completely sucks you in.
Some of the camera work in this was just phenomenal.
If I were to recommend a must watch series this would be one of them.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Really good story telling at its heart
Did not know what to expect starting this. But was immediately drawn by the amazing story telling, superb narration, and fantastic performances by Bill Skarsgard and Tom Holland.
Really glad I watched it. If your looking for a good story with great acting it's a definite must watch.
Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star (2019)
Ruined by the judges.
Good concept, well produced, nice mix of contestants and Ms.Dooley as host is charming as always.
The downfall of the show is the bias and self aggrandising attitude of the judges.
Ding-dong...Move on.
