Thirteen (2016)
completely unbelievable
Ok it's got a good plot and moves along quickly so I can see how people might enjoy it - but I find myself screaming at the tv every minute or so because it is soooo unbelievable. There is no way they would interrogate a victim in this manner or use her as bait. The plot is actually so unbelievable that it's predictable. The stupid things they have the characters do only leads to one outcome. I gave it a 5 because I watched 4.5 episodes before I gave up on it. I usually watch things until the end even if the show is bad. But I don't want to be screaming at the television anymore tonight
The Apartment (2012)
chaos and horrible Asian meets British Design
I have no idea why this show keeps being renewed. The Designs are absolutely horrible. You would have to gut every room - Even the winning designs are terrible. The chaotic editing and production means you are moving from one team to another every few seconds and it's hard to get any idea of what they create - except you do get enough of a peek to see that it's absolute garbage, full of the worst of Asian/British taste.
Bloodline (2015)
How could this be an 8!?
Ok I watched the first series and would give that a 7/10 and now I'm halfway through the 2nd season and just can't make myself watch any more episodes. I give this season a 3/10. the characters are just too stupid for words. The sister is supposed to be a lawyer and yet she is written as so incredibly dumb. Someone is their reviews said these are good people caught up in a difficult situation. I could not disagree more. These are horrible people that are victims only to their stupidity. How could this be an 8? I am being overly generous giving it a 6/10
Pretty Little Liars (2010)
Typical American Teenage Drama
It's probably important to note for some of you that I am a 52 year old woman. I have watched and enjoyed Stranger Things and Riverdale. This show however is just too similar to both of those shows. I feel like I am watching yet another teenage drama that is about the same type of characters in the same type of town. If you can't get enough of these typical American style teenage dramas then this show is for you. For myself however, this show is a sad representation of what Americans seem to want to believe life is really like - nowhere near reality for most of the millions of viewers out there. Can you not set this same drama in another setting with different types of characters who don't all have catty, emotionally void relationships? I find this is the issue with 99% of American tv shows these days - being Canadian, it makes me wonder if this is truly a reflection of some lack of depth of feeling and integrity in human relationships and connection? In other words, vacuous. Which is fine for a fun show once in awhile but come on - there is just way too much of this out there to be healthy.
Homeland (2011)
Completely Unbelievable
I have no idea why this show has such a good rating. I am now coming to the end of season 2 and just can't go on. The female lead is just so stupid that it's not in any way believable. She shows up to a gun fight with a metal pipe! I really have wondered since the election of Trump if there is something very wrong with the intelligence of the American people. After watching this show and seeing the reviews on here being so positive, I'm convinced more than ever that their ground water is poisoned.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
As it should be
I see all the haters made it here quickly. For me it ended as it should have. I found it very satisfying.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
most powerful episode ever so stop complaining
I just don't get it. This was the most powerful episode of the series. If you disagree with the destruction of King's Landing fine - but you need to get over it so you can engage in the most incredible tv episode ever to be directed and edited. The episode showed the absolute destruction, chaos, and fear - and through the eyes of the characters we have followed through 8 seasons. It was incredibly well done. I think it was so well done that people were so upset by it that they can't accept it and have too many feelings - and therefore reject the episode. Go back and watch it a few months from now once you've worked through your acceptance and you will see what I mean. Note: I have now watched it 3 times and it is by far the best episode of the entire 8 seasons
Fear the Walking Dead (2015)
Season 4 SUCKS!
I enjoyed season 1 and 2, 3 was ok, but 4 is just terrible. What a lazy and boring story line. I was really hoping they would go to Alexandria in the end just so this show would disappear and merge into TWD. Here's hoping
Making a Murderer (2015)
Guilty
People seem to be confused as to what this show is about. The title Making A Murderer should give you a clue that it is the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department that is on trial in this series not Steven Avery. Avery had his trial and was convicted. A trial of the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department isn't possible in reality - so we need a documentary show like this to give us those facts and we the viewers are the jury. It doesn't matter whether Steven Avery is guilty or not - it doesn't change the fact that there were dirty cops who at the very least engaged in suspicious activity in order to get a conviction against this man - twice. There was a conflict of interest and this case was mishandled from the beginning. People say read the other facts out there and I have. I have read just about everything I can find. It has no bearing on the case against the Sheriff's Department. This jury member finds the accused GUILTY. The show is powerful because It raises questions about whether we can truly trust the procedures and guidelines that make up our justice system and shows that there is a serious lack of accountability at all levels.
