Vigilante (2021)
Just Ridiculous
This feels like it was put together in about an hour by a high school freshman with zero familiarity with comics as a whole (let alone the Batman and related characters), who remembered at 11:30pm that this assignment was due in first period the next morning.
The "narrator" is clearly a bad A. I. voice, and the script was written by an A. I. bot who thinks "The Dark Knight Returns" (one of the most important Batman stories ever written, mind you) is titled "The Return of the Dark Knight," and inexplicably calls Batmite "Bat Goblin."
There are far better actual documentaries out there than this one. PLEASE do yourself a favor and find one of those instead. This one is to a true comic fan what Bane's knee was to Batman's spine.
Men (2022)
Just more arthouse BS
Trying (and failing) to be deep is no substitute for an actual story.
The only plus is now I know not to watch anything else by this "writer/director. "
American Horror Stories (2021)
The entire sound department, sadly, is deaf.
...or at least they are now.
Not sure what happened to the sound, but it goes from barely-audible mumbling one second to blaring notes and bass the next.
I keep watching to see how many sexual/gender minorities they can squeeze into each episode. Seriously, if you made this a drinking game you'd be in the ER in about 2 episodes' time.
Sacren (2019)
When the casting director casts herself in a lead role, you're gonna have a bad time.
The masked maniacs keep asking for sugar. They should've asked for "Sacren." Either way, this movie caused cancer in laboratory rats.
Amazing Stories: The Heat (2020)
AMAZING story? Barely *A*story.
Ridiculous garbage. Had this been the first episode in this resurrected series, I'd have kicked the dirt back on it. What a waste of an hour.
Mr Happy (2012)
Wow...and not a "good" wow.
I gave up on this snooze fest around the 42:30 mark when you could plainly see the arm of the person who swung the kids' door open, and see the pausing of the footage as the "ghost's" sheet fell down.
Titans: Dick Grayson (2018)
THIS is what a superhero show should be!
This show is everything great about the superhero genre. It's also a prime example of why you should give things a chance before bashing them. I'm a hardcore comics geek and I, regrettably, chimed in with the haters when the first few set/character pics hit the net. I'll tell you this: I've never been this wrong about anything before.
Titans absolutely destroys Smallville/Arrow/Flash/Supergirl/Legends. If you haven't watched Titans yet and you're a gigantic fanboy like me, you're only depriving yourself by not giving it a watch.
This finale was the best, most well-written, best directed, best edited, and best acted episode of superhero television I have EVER seen. An absolute no-brainer of a 10/10 rating.
BRING ON SEASON TWO!
The Sopranos (1999)
Runtime
They should fix the runtime above...I watched season 5 and it took longer than 58 minutes ;) I really liked the episode where Tim Daly guest starred as an AA buddy of Christopher's. This was a very good season. One of the funniest (or most "WTF") moments was when the fat guy got busted going down on that guy in the truck at the construction site. Very good, guest stars this season: Buscemi (who directed my favorite episode thus far in "The Pine Barrens") and Robert Loggia. I will miss Drea De Matteo's Adriana character, her torment after being forced into bed with the FBI was good conflict for her character. I have heard that there is a possibility of a season 7 from David Chase.
