Best show EVERRRR
22 October 2022
This is the best show I've ever seen in my entire life! And I have watched thousands of hours of TV in my lifetime. Thousands. This show satisfies every thing I've ever wanted in a thriller. It's so finely crafted and the acting is impeccable! Completely and utterly beyond reward-worthy. Jessica Biel is such an amazing actress and producer. What amazing brains! To come up with these plots I mean, imdb wants us to use at least 600 characters? Since when? I don't really have THAT much to say. Oh my gosh when will this ever end? I want to stop typing this so I can finish watching this show. It's really getting interesting! Yippee!

Perfect episode!
21 December 2021
This episode is great from start to finish. Kelly and Bud get along and work together very well. Peg is wanting some lovin from Al and he's dreading it, per usual. Anthrax rocks out and are pretty funny too. But the stand out is Marcy! This is my favorite episode of the entire series because of her. She is absolutely hilarious and shows that crazier/weird side that she lets out every now and then. This is my go to episode for a guaranteed laugh.

You Belong to Me (2008 TV Movie)

Huh??!
11 January 2020
Wait, wha? I feel like I just watched two different lifetime movies, an episode of Goosebumps AND an episode of Supernatural all rolled into an hour and twenty minutes! I'm so lenient on these type of films but ...whaaaaa? It was so generic! I feel so bad. Shannon is beautiful and intriguing to watch but her acting was kind of dry and flat.

The way the films starts out has you thinking you're in for a sexy thriller type situation but then halfway through it just COMPLETELY changes course! And it's not good. It's very cheesy. At one point I felt like I was a kid again watching an episode of Goosebumps after school! It was just so inconsistent. I can't even suggest this one for a rainy, lazy day.

Strong women picking up the pieces
10 January 2020
What a scumbag this dude was. He didn't care anything about his children. I was waiting for that moment to happen where he explains to the kids or has a heart to heart with them (even if they are college age) but it never happened. I will say, that's what's missing from this film.

However, I did enjoy the fact that these women did not mope around and fall into a huge pathetic mess. They each dealt with this situation in their own ways. They grieved and learned how to handle their business and instead of breaking down and becoming weak and hopeless, they took their lives into their own hands. I like how they came together and the friendship they built. It made me smile.

I also like how the kids didn't turn against each other. They embraced each other. Even though we may have seen this plot before, I think this was done a bit more eloquently. Loved the edginess of Elizabeth Rohms character especially.

Guilty (2014 TV Movie)

Great acting all around
6 January 2020
This movie made me so emotional and I'm pretty sure it was because of the great acting from the lead young lady Traci as well as the teacher, Mr. Adkins. The teacher had such a gentle and kind demeanor and even though he was being accused of something that we know for a fact he did not do, he didn't overact or become livid or unlikeable. His character was very sweet and it was just so sad what happened to him. The guilt was eating at Traci so much and I think she did a great job as an actress at balancing out her emotions. The villain just set forth such a terrible chain of events that affected so many people. I wanted to see someone slap her right across the face.

Anyway, this movie was pretty well balanced and well acted all the way around. Sure the story has been done before but isn't every story told multiple ways? There's only so much to make a LT movie about so here's another perspective to watch. Very watchable.

Secrets of My Stepdaughter (2017 TV Movie)

Kept me entertained
2 January 2020
Look, everybody knows that Lifetime movies march to the beat of their own drummers. So why expect an Oscar winning type script or performance from the actors? C'mon. It deserves better than 1 star. And I'd definitely rather watch this than "pass a kidney stone" as one reviewer so eloquently put it lol. This particular movie was above average for lifetime standards in my opinion.

Josie Davis is one of my favorite actresses because she can play a psycho in one film then play a compassionate loving mother in another with ease. I especially loved her in Dirty Teacher and Backstabbed. She's hilarious. She is just comfortable & fun to watch. She was great in this role. You could see the confliction tearing her up inside. Plus, the look on her face when she got smacked! She was so expressive! I loved it. The daughter Rachel had issues but I think they could've made her even more intense!

This movie isn't anything to get super excited about but it is intriguing and again, one of those flicks you watch on a cold boring day or a midday, nothing on your schedule type of thing. I liked it!

A Daughter's Nightmare (2014 TV Movie)
9/10
A comfortable movie
29 December 2019
The thing I love most about this movie is how natural the acting is. Emily Osment just have this easy-going approachability thing about her. She seems so down to earth and delivers her lines and performance with such ease.

I like how Emily and Victoria Pratt interact with each other. They seem like a real mother & daughter duo that has a wonderful & healthy relationship. The way they talk to each other is so nice to watch. It makes the movie seem realistic and easy to view. Even though there are some heavy situations going on in the film, the daughter portrays strength & common sense and you just have faith that they're going to get through it. Emily's character is very savvy. Finally a character in a Lifetime movie that has a clue! I like the fact that this movie isn't too heavy and there are no scenes that make you roll your eyes due to "lifetime ridiculousness" (extreme over-acting of a character, plot holes, terrible camera work, flat acting) Although the villain is extremely annoying to me.

This is the perfect movie to relax on the couch with a blanket and some snacks. Not too exciting but definitely not ridiculous. Very much worth a watch! One of my favorites.

Sleepwalking in Suburbia (2017 TV Movie)
7/10
Held my interest
29 December 2019
This movie is not bad at all! I don't think it deserves nearly a 1 star rating. I have seen some really bad Lifetime films and I'm talking about characters walking around in bad wigs, elevator music playing in the background through the entire film and over AND under acting so bad that I've burst out in laughter. Those are the ones that deserve the 1 start rating but I get a kick out of low budget, bad films.

I think this particular movie was pretty good! There were some very annoying parts and I also think the ending should have been extended so we could see the aftermath. But what I like a lot was the setting. The neighborhood was beautiful and so were the homes where most of the film took place. They were nicely decorated, modern and comfortable.

The acting was actually good and natural. I thought the actor that played Luke (Carlos Marks) was just adorable and really fun to watch. The way he'd get excited every time he saw Michelle was really cute and his voice and mannerisms were really cute as well. Emilie Ullerup did great as portraying a sleepwalker distraught about her actions. The married couples acted like they were sick of each other lol. But you could see when Kate and her husband were asleep that they did actually care about each other by how they were cuddled up.

There is one issue I have with the movie. All of the trouble could have been avoided if Michelle would've had a simple conversation with Luke and her husband Dan! Luke didn't know about her condition and when he tries to talk to her about their "moment" she completely freaks out even after she realizes that she in fact did have that moment with him. She treated him like it was his fault. If she had simply explained that she was sleepwalking and brought her husband and had a conversation between the three of them, no one would have had to have gotten hurt.

That's just my opinion. Chaos ensues but I guess there wouldn't be a movie to make if there wasn't some secrets and drama right?

So even though there are irritating moments, they aren't enough to make it unwatchable. It's very pretty aesthetically and the acting is believable.

Deadly Lessons (2018 TV Movie)

A pleasant surprise from Lifetime
26 December 2019
I love lifetime movies for the very reason people hate them...they're a mess! Haha. There's something comforting about low budget films about crazy things going on in suburbia.

This movie however, was a very pleasant surprise. The acting was great, the storyline moved along gracefully and it wasn't over the top. It was sweet and I did feel my heart warming up at a couple of scenes. The daughter was very pleasant and adorable, which is a welcome change of pace to me seeing as how 90% of lifetime movie teens are little brats that speak horribly to their parents. This movie was definitely very different from the typical LT flick yet still had that element of drama that makes us dig Lifetime movies. Highly suggested.

It's good to be queen...

Whaaaat! This was really good! I love Lifetime movies. They're a genre all their own. Most of the time I have them on in the background while I'm doing something else. I almost always find myself on my phone while watching. Some are hard to sit through because they get stale durning the middle but this one really held my interest from start to finish. I would've like a stronger ending but it was still pretty entertaining. All of the actors were very strong especially the leader, Desiree (sp?) I was thoroughly entertained by her. I didn't get bored once!

Breathtaking

I was completely entranced from start to finish. When I heard Nick begin to speak, I thought "this is a documentary right? Why is this actor telling the story?" That is how eloquent, insightful, intelligent and captivating Nick's storytelling is. I don't want to say anything else except watch this and become inspired to do better on all levels.

Aw come on. Why such bad reviews? It's lifetime. I thought this one was pretty hilarious. A nice watch if you have nothing to do or you're folding laundry or whatever. Of course it was not the best I mean we all know this is low budget, why expect so much?

I think the straight laced dad was a hottie. Love how this movie had a good twist at the end. It was funny, I didn't see that coming at all. I got a few good laughs out of this one.

One of the most intense lifetime films
27 December 2018
This is one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen. It is absolutely compelling, gripping and emotional. This movie is very intense so if you are extremely sensitive (like me - this movie will haunt me for days) just be prepared. You'll feel a wave of emotions; anger, sadness, confoundment...and probably want to turn it off. I know I did.

I'm really conflicted as I believe a lot of people were after watching it because it was beautifully filmed and well acted by everyone throughout, especially Addison even though she doesn't say much and doesn't break out of what seems to be a constant state of shock and complacency maybe? I don't know but she really did an amazing job of not over acting and not under acting. I have great feelings about a film well done (acting, production, direction, cinematography, etc.) about an event so heartbreaking.

Open Marriage (2017 TV Movie)

Eye candy galore!
27 December 2018
This is a ridiculous film only made watchable by the sexy hardbodies just frolicking around - I mean, I haven't had this much fun watching a movie since Magic Mike came out!! It's made even better because of the frequent sweaty workout scenes amongst the two leading men, have mercy! And Ron never wears a shirt when he's at home so we get to watch all that deliciousness walk around shirtless on the phone...shirtless watching television...shirtless arguing with his wife...shirtless shirtless shirtless:):):):) That's what I'm talking about.

Okay, to comment on the film directly, the storyline was good but there was something off about the acting, which seemed kind of stale (I'm sorry) The couples didn't treat each other like they loved each other either. They were supposed to be married couples but they were acting like teenagers dating in high school.

And the ending was just tooooo much. The villain overacted and the CGI blood shocked me because it was so obvious! Couldn't they just use fake blood like every other movie?

Her Dark Past (2016 TV Movie)

Great story...too confusing
27 December 2018
I am a Lifetime movie fanatic! So, trust me when I say, this was an alright watch. It wasn't corny at all! I love how it had a little edge to it. And JR Bourne is just really amazing to look at. Wow. I love the idea of her having a dark past and I think it should've even been edgier than it was.

It definitely didn't give us enough glimpse into her past. It would have been cool to see a little more of what she was up to back then.

Another negative is that it gets waaay too complicated and I lost track of what was going on a few times. Even the ending confused me. The movie probably should've been longer as the last 20 minutes definitely seemed rushed.

Love this one!!
25 December 2018
This is one of my favorite Lifetime movies! Eric Roberts has that IT factor. He knows how to be hilarious without trying too hard and that's what has made me a fan of his work in all three of these - Stalked by My Doctor - installments.

I really like how this movie is edgy without going too far and hilarious without trying too hard. Great performances by everyone! Give it a shot :) It's definitely one of the better Lifetime movies!

His Secret Family (2015 TV Movie)

Boring and hilarious!
25 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Oh my goodness. This movie was SO boring! I was exhausted. I get a kick out of Lifetime movies. I usually love them because they're so ridiculous. BUT this one was just BAD. It was terrible. Who just lets someone walk into their home and gives them a guided tour without asking questions or for credentials?

And wife #2 (Haylie) is such an idiot with her communication with the cops, one of them being a family friend, she just basically yelled at them all the time for doing their job. And when wife #2 finds out over the phone from albeit, her husband, that she is being played; instead of being in shock or getting upset or an average reaction, she sobs "Where's your heart?" What a geek! He just blatantly told her "having two families just isn't logical so I im gonna have to let you go" and it was COLD I tell ya. It was like he was firing her for stealing or something. I was cracking up out loud.

The only entertainment in this movie is the husband because he is just so over the top unapologetic and cold about his actions. The husband confessed to wife #1 over the phone as well. He basically shrugs and yells, "I have two families okay?" He seemed like he just loved saying that! The "boat chase" if you can even call it that, had me laughing as well.

This movie is just terrible but good for a couple laughs near the end.
