What a piece of garbage
27 November 2014
How did the movie industry end up like this. The movie moguls of yesterday knew how to make movies, they knew how to write and get actors who were larger than life. So today we have Sam Neill, Tia Leoni and a cast of nobodies. I blame Spielberg and the new crop of movie makers who decided that effects were better than having good stories and actors who had charisma. Tia Leoni would have to get the nauseating award for most irritating screams in a movie. The writing was so bad it was easy to predict what was going to happen in the next scene. It is sad that this excuse for a movie made so much money that people actually paid to see it in the cinema. as usual with todays writers, once they have a hit with one theme they go and make more and hope the film public is stupid enough to go see it.Thank god for DVD's where we can watch the classics on the home big screen TV and put this trash where it belongs.

Poor writing,poor acting.

Can anyone believe with a fine comedic cast of Alley,Richards and Pearlman that this show was a real bust. watching episodes I cringed at how bad the writing was for this show. Did they get some interns from the film academy to write the sitcom. And how bad was the male playing Kirstie's son, just because you are overweight does not make you a funny person. Maybe some actors should look at themselves and see that while they were young, quirky and pretty in previous shows (cheers )age has a terrible way of sneaking up on people who should see that they are no longer young slim and pretty. TV has a way of showing actors they should get out of the business after their use by date. Michael Richards seems to have gotten into a rut and plays Kramer in anything he does. One dimensional acting will not suffice in this day and age.

Interstellar (2014)

Interesting idea but lacks credibility

I know a lot of reviewers have given this movie high praise, while I admire the effort from cast and crew there are aspects which really grated when I I saw it. Apart from the fact that the movie is long and scenes could have been deleted to make a tighter film, I was distracted by the loud music orchestrated for the movie. I felt that having silence for the space scenes would have been more effective for suspense than playing music which reminded me of watching a horror movie that became louder as the scenes more suspenseful. And I am sorry but the special effects were not impressive and disappointing. For the money spent this was a waste that could have been better and how about a blatant ripoff of the movie 2001 which though made in 1968 was far superior to this. OK it will make money but for me once was enough. I guess the 6 people in the cinema with me would agree.

Can this be the worst movie of all time

Warning: Spoilers
I have seen bad movies, but this is a joke. Horrible acting ( did Nick Cage really once get an Academy award? )and a Director who hopefully will go and find a day job and get out of the business. The girl who plays Cage's daughter should audition for superwoman, a college grad who can drive a motor bike better than Evil Kneival, drive a SUV better than F1 drivers and oh my drive a front end loader on an under construction freeway she found and set off explosives that were left unattended on the roadway. Cage would have to get the award for wooden actor of the year as would the other so called actors. This movie deserves every bad criticism it has received. How I never walked out of the theater is amazing. The Christians are upset because of the bad reviews saying its because its about the bible. Wrong it is just a bad pathetically made movie that should not even go to DVD. Did I read that there are 2 more sequels planned? God help us.
