I'm a movie addict who has been much disappointed with many attempts at many a war movie which includes the much herralded hurt locker.

There is a selection of over a 100 reviews, so no need for me to detail the specifics of the movie, if your reviewing review then i'm sure it's just to confirm the admiration offered by others apart from yourself.

Bradley Coopers performance was scintillating, the direction offered by Clint Eastwood was masterful, indeed the whole cast were fantastic.

I've always been a fan of Clint and Bradley, true American beauty is served ... far less protentious than other candidates for the Oscars .... i must admit the imitation game was a knockout.

I'm utterly speechless, this film failed beyond all comprehension. I don't rate Tom Hardy and in this role he plays another! pretty wooden role. Like many others i watched this movie in homage to the late James Gandolfini... but this movie just sucked.

Maybe it's a blackart defining minimalistic story lines .... but i've watched enough movies to know this was a lame plot.

To me James Gandolfini's role seems to have been so restricted that it makes one think it was to ensure he played number2 to the lead role played by Tom Hardy.

2014 has seen some epic releases which does indeed hearten me, like others i will always be heartened by the memory of James Gandolfini in the Sopranos.

Hat's off to Liam Neeson for some outstanding performances in a host of films which i rate very highly (This guy is class so there's no need for me to list out the endless list of films he's aced in), this unfortunately is not one of those. - It's a low budget film - There are no other actors anywhere near Liam's class - Liam's own performance is compromised by a poor script, - The plot is pretty one dimensional, again the support cast were so poor there is little hope. Every actor is given a pass to cash in on their name for a quick buck (and i'm pretty sure this film didn't take too long to shoot), but please don't do it again in a hurry! I cannot understand the overall rating of 6.9 when i wrote my review, so i felt compelled to put my opinion forward.

This is a gobsmackingly (not a real word) brilliant film that rates right up there. I love the rawness of the performances (yes perhaps hammed up a little....but all the better for it).

I've read a bunch of reviews which on whole agree with my views, although there's always (predictably) some who either thought the actors had let themselves down with some of the crude language or that this simply wasn't anywhere near funny... well all i can say to that is that everyone's entitled to their own opinion ... i mean they probably thought they were going to watch an Adam Sandler or Drew Barrymore funny (yes in many people's eyes these are the king and queen of Hollywood).

Anyway i'm a Will Ferrell fan, but really don't like some of the critically aclaimed films like Anchorman but instead think one of his best was 'Everything must go'.
