Meh.
8 August 2015
I first saw the trailer on Youtube and I thought to give it a try. I must say it was an entertaining trailer, but I got disappointed by the actual movie. Some minutes into the movie, I immediately was brought back to when I was watching The River (that TV series). This movie is pretty much like The River - set in a confined space of a ship - only with another "entity" instead of the curse of the Amazon. Not a waste of time, but I personally believe there are so much more to be done with the story. The story is also almost too similar to Whiteout or whatever "entity" containment type of story. So, I gave it a five star, just because it does not waste my time.

Too Bad

The first 10 minutes, I thought the movie will deliver; as the scene successfully raised the hair in the back of my neck. I like the idea that ghost sightings in movie do not need excessive back sound/music. They can just appear. I thought the storyline is also promising, although, I felt that it fell apart during the middle of the movie.

There are some conflicting continuity on the plot, but no one will pay attention to it greatly and it doesn't disturb the storyline. It's just something that I thought would make the movie has more grip to it. This movie should have stronger storyline, which, I liked, but it's really hard for me to even give it a 7. :( oh, and yeah,, the good looking ones always dies first. :)

Really? Another one?

Didn't we already have Madam Secretary? How many presidents are there, anyways? I THOUGHT that judging by the title, it's going to be something in the crossroads of Covert Affairs and Madam Secretary, but yeah... I misjudged it. This show is NOTHING like either of those two shows together, and yet also failed to stand on its own. I would vote to limit this series to one season. Also, considering that Heigl should stick to rom-com, she is not CIA operative material. On every episode, I have always failed to convince myself that she is an operative. She just don't have that "Annie Walker" vibe, and she can't invent her own "Annie Walker".

I think 3 episodes would be enough to convince me not to watch further. Sorry...
