Reasonable Doubt (2017)
"Reasonable Doubt" gives a whole new meaning to exploitation....
First off, I'm appalled at how this show seeks to garner notoriety by appearing to be helpful and sympathetic towards those whom may well be innocent. And the true horror of appearing to care is that there are real people living inside of a real harsh reality depending on them as they're last hope to help they're loved one's get freedom. Please, do yourself a favor...DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW! These two individuals are more prosecutorial than they are sympathetic. They often seem like they're just out to clear up mistakes made by the state, especially for those sentenced to death, often repeating and agreeing with the same conclusions the State have already arrived at. Same people; different Church!
Thelma (2017)
Weird & Strange
Alfred Hitchcock meets Vincent Price and have a baby named Thelma.
This film should be in black & white. There's a thin line between deep and weird and they've crossed it. Leaves you with more questions than answers!
Run the Race (2018)
Faith is not a prelude to Chick's & Football
****Warning Spoilers***
Whether a person believes in Jesus or not does not give us a right to judge anyone. And you certainly shouldn't teach your child to withhold love or companionship from someone based on a level of faith they may or may not have. For instance, after going to dinner to meet his girlfriend's parents, he was judged in shunned, not because he didn't believe in God but because he didn't believe in Him enough to be apart of their family. "You know this is important to me, Zach," she said to him after dinner. This movie teaches that being truthful takes a backseat according to the level of fath one has. Basically, this movie is saying, if you don't believe enough in God honesty account's for nothing. Both of these boys were good boys and believed in God. They were both truthful and honest. And I don't believe that we should be teaching one another to apologize for the level of faith we have. She actually said, after he came to the hospital and apologized to her, "You hurt me." "You get the girl if you believe a lot," should've been the name of this movie.
Taken (2017)
Good Series/Terrible Writers
Taken was taken off the air because season 2 was to dramatic of a change. (no pun intended) Whomever came up with the ideal to disembowel a whole season of characters and give, absolutely, no explanation for why or where they went has no business in Hollywood. For instance, Brooklyn Sudano who played Ashlyn Flynn, who did a wonderful job, if I might add, was just written off like a bad habit. Going into season 2 was like discovering that there's pages missing out of a book you've been reading and then searching about to see if you can find them, then after awhile deciding the pages were to vital to go on with the book.
The Equalizer (2014)
Denzel's still got it!
Without Denzel Washington, the "save the girl from the mob plot," frankly, would have been too much "dejavu." However, Denzel's charisma and ability to direct the viewers thoughts away from the plot & on to him saves the day!I thought it could of had a slice more of action in it. But, again, Denzel's knack for capturing your every thought on to what his next move is, keeps us in enough suspense to drown out the non-suspenseful foreknowledge of the plots next move. Director: Antoine Fuqua, does an excellent job of giving us just enough Denzel, to keep us wanting more...during the movie and after the movie is over. Besides, who can tire of Marton Csokas bad guy routine? He's always laid back & cool...creating the impression that he has more layers of ruthlessness then he really does. And last but not least, Chloë Grace Moretz succeeds in making us all love hookers. I gave this movie a 6 for Denzel...the plot leaves more to be desired!
