This one has it all

From humor to tears, drama to terror. Very few movies have had the lasting impact of Captain Newman, MD. Once you watch this movie, you will want to see it again and again. Gregory Peck is his faultless acting self. Bobby Darin puts on quite a show while on sodium-pentothal. Eddie Albert is about as creepy as possible. Larry Storch and Tony Curtis will have you cracking a rib laughing.

The behind-the-lines wartime drama is probably the finest of any movie of its era

This one easily rates 10 stars.

Do not expect to be scared

As a sci-fi or horror, this movie fails miserably. But, if you watch it in a mood to be entertained by ridiculous, slap-stick, "banana-peel" comedy, you will simply roll on the floor holding your sides. There are so many stupid things in this movie that I can't list them all here.

The snake, itself, is funny to watch. Anything that big, sneaking up on people calls for some eye-rolling.

There's 3 "hunters" who take their guns out to kill this monster and as soon as they see it, they drop their weapons and take off running.

Pat Morita is a total spoof of a snake expert/scientist.

Overall, I couldn't wait to watch this movie with someone else and watch their reactions. That is a whole new side-splitting laugh just waiting.

I give this 5 stars just for the fact that they actually got actors together and made this movie. What a feat!

What a riot!

I don't think I've ever laughed harder and longer at one show. Jeni has always been near the top of the line...this one puts him over. I watched him a few years back do a routine about watching all the Jaws movies while on the road. Even his hosting job on The Improv has been great to watch. This guy has you gasping for air through your laughs. This time, his skit about Hugh Grant had me rolling. As did his late-night TV routine. And the man-woman relationships bit is a classic. And he still saves some of his best for last. If there's a funnier hour on the tube, I've yet to see it. This is a must see for all stand-up fans!
