Chinjeolhan geumjassi (2005)
Where's the sympathy?
This is nowhere near the worst movie I've seen, but I just was slightly put off by it. The first two films in this trilogy of revenge invoked a lot more sympathy in me than this one did. The first two seemed to take their story a bit more seriously, more so sympathy for Mr vengeance than old boy. In this one the story was a bit scattered around to a slightly frustrating point. This film kind of seemed more light hearted in a way. It wasn't as harsh as the other two films. Then there were some scenes that I wasn't sure of the point. Mainly a sex scene involving the real murderer and someone the main character helps in prison. I'm not sure why people are saying this is the best one. The pacing was comparable to Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, so if you didn't like the pacing you won't like this. This ones slightly more graphic in that there's a guys head that gets blown off. So if you're looking for gore look somewhere else.
Marie Antoinette (2006)
waste of money
I recently went and saw this movie. People sure are making it sound like some great movie. I'm not sure what those people saw. It looked nice, but that's about it. I was rather bored between the sparse amount of dialog that mainly centered around crude sex jokes. Seems like Sofia Coppola can't write dialouge too well, she can make it look good though(or at least her set designer can). I kind of understand how people are saying it's good at showing her loneliness. Though I think it was pulled off poorly. It really wasn't worth the 16 dollars we paid for it. I didn't feel as ripped off, but still wasn't worth that much. So if you like sparse sex jokes sprinkled around a constant display of new outfits and food go see it.

See it if you want
If you want to see this movie you should go ahead and see it. After seeing it I wouldn't suggest wasting your time with it. Someone posted a review saying that bad reviews are from people that don't want you to see it. All I can say is that I'm just offering my opinion on the movie.
Yes it does have some elements of questioning authority, but is carried out very weakly. That's not the reason why I didn't like it personally. I found it rather boring. At times I thought about leaving, because it was so boring.
People saying it goes beyond John Waters are right, but being someone that likes John Waters I was greatly disappointed. Almost all the jokes seem to be variations of the same jokes told repeatedly one after the other. I laughed a few times, but that didn't make up for the rest of the film.
Another repetitive element is the songs. They begin funny but just end up being just as repetitive as the jokes. The chorus of the song is repeated more times than I could stand personally.
It's not too offensive. At least to me it wasn't. Cartoons on adult swim are probably more offensive than this movie is. Many gay jokes that are told might be offensive if you are gay. Other than that if you're wanting to see this film you've probably heard all the jokes already.
