The Adam Project (2022)
Honestly I couldn't tell what I was watching
Was it Deadpool? 13 Going on 30? The Hulk? Stranger Things? Green Lantern? Back to the Future? This is Us? The Last Jedi?
I don't know, and I don't care.
What a total mess.
The Crown: Matrimonium (2017)
Matthew Goode's insufferable mumbling
I had to turn on the subtitles for this one because I couldn't understand a word Matthew Goode was saying. It sounded like he had a speech impediment. How did the director let him get away with it?
The Crown: Olding (2019)
The awful recast ruined the show
In 1964, Queen Elizabeth was 38. Olivia Colman is 45!
In 1964, Princess Margaret was 34. Helena Bonham Carter is 53!!
Laughable, really.
Game of Thrones (2011)
My rating was 8. I changed it to 5.
Season 8 ruined everything for me. What was once an entertaining show with solid writing and thrilling character arcs was reduced to nothing more than a Hallmark-type fantasy flick where logic or continuity had no room. Unfortunately, HBO took GOT's fans for granted and let two incompetent writers ruin the show completely. There's a petition calling for a remake of Season 8. It has garnered a significant number of signatures. I don't think this is gonna happen though. The damage has been done. It's permanent and cannot be undone. We waited two years for this season. We anticipated greatness. I mean it's only six episodes. How hard can it be? You had plenty of time to produce something epic. But mediocrity and stupidity is all we got. Shame!
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Poor Writing, Bad Lighting, Wasted Opportunity
1. Most battle scenes are too dark. You literally can't see anything or tell what's happening and to whom. Very frustrating experience.
2. So many people experienced in war tactics (Tyrion, Jon, Jorah, Jamie, Tormund, etc.) and they couldn't come up with a decent attack/defense plan? Why send the Dothraki to their deaths at first if you have two full-grown, fire-breathing dragons? Why not station those dragons on the front lines and have them torch whomever approaches? Why was Jon riding a dragon instead of being on the ground commanding his armies? This is called lazy writing and poor insight on the part of the writers.
3. What was the point of Bran's and the Night King's intersecting storylines over seven seasons if they were gonna abruptly end this way without any development or explanation? Again poor writing decisions.
4. Honestly who cares now what will happen with Cersei and the Iron Throne after the show's most interesting storyline -- the white walkers -- ended in such an anticlimactic fashion?
