Charles R: The Making of a Monarch (2023)
Through the Years...
...watching Charles grow and deveiop, from being a toddler, through being a "gawky" and awkward teenager, to full adulthood. Using "home" movies (some of which have never been seen before) and documentary film clips. Interpolated with personal comments in his own words and answering occasional questions from an unseen interviewer, the viewer gains deep insight into a life that many would think was an "idyllic" one of wealth and privilege, but which he found to be stressful in many instances. After his investiture as Prince of Wales, he entered the Royal Navy and achieved both fixed- and rotor-wing pilot ratings. He was also an ardent environmentalist long before it became a "popular cause". This production provides incredible insight into the fascinating life of England's new monarch!
1917 (2019)
Angst potentially for naught
Suffering through the agony of the seemingly-impossible mission, albeit spectacular cinematography, at the end it seems that the whole thing could have been avoided by using an aeroplane to drop the critical order at the front lines.
America Says (2018)
WHO is the "AMERICA" who's "Saying"?
I've searched long and hard to determine from where their answers come, but to no avail! Some of their answers are totally absurd! ...and why isn't the "Grand Prize" easily divisible by four, such as $16,000 (or $20,000) for instance?!
Carol's Second Act (2019)
"Laugh a Minute"?
It's actually more like "laugh every three- to five seconds", according to the extremely over-used and annoying laugh track, virtually anything anyone says is hilariously funny. This show is a potentially funny show destroyed by laughter.
