I just saw it and it's impressive. A crispy film, yet soft on the inside, it could be slapstick and heart-warming at the same time. If not, it did really take the superhero trend to the next level. If compared with Avengers or other animation, it really is incredible.
This movie somewhat reminds me of Captain America: Civil War, but between Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible. The script matured more than average superhero (e.g. Civil War) movie, despite being family movie, which is mostly watched by kids. How Elastigirl worried about people lives and trying to save them with minimal risks is the proof of how mature and how realistic the script was. Even I love the vocal quality of Elastigirl, it was raspy, hoarse, and deep. The vocal quality stressed girls aren't weak and can do what man can. The theme song was also enganging, as Disney always done. The reminisence of Donald Trump was funny in spite of that was a serious issues.
The technicality was excellent. I love how the panning in the early scene seems to 'blur' the view and make it more realistic. The sound effect was surrounding and the scoring was very fitting also add up the thrilling seasoning of the fight scene.
The pattern of Disney movies are guessable and always the same. But guess what, it never gets old. I knew from the start that who is the culprit. Who doesn't know? I mean Disney always do it right? Doctor Callaghan, Charles Muntz, Ernesto de la Cruz? The 'good guy' always turns out to be the 'bad guy' And my friend, that is exactly the power of Disney that always entertain us even with the same pattern all over and over.
You should watch this, no matter how old you are. Bring yor kids too. If they're girls, it will raise their moral about how girl can do anything too, but not radically as radical feminist. If they're boys, they will learn about appreciating their mom or appreciating your wife. And you adult, it'll teach you to prioritize otherselves before you, and push back your ego for a greater good.
In the end as Disney always told us, family comes first.
