Northern Rescue (2019)
Felt very different for a family show
Starting with, this needs a second season! I really loved this show. Yea I'll say the acting wasn't perfect, but so much of what the kids, dad and aunt went through felt so raw and real. Portrayed very well. It felt very late 90's to early 2000s to me, but I enjoyed it a lot. Needs to be longer in my opinion, there's so much more to cover and I think the show deserves credit for being a tearjerker, comedy and family drama. I thought the protrayal of the characters were incredible and the plots had me always wanting to watch more. Incredible show!!!
Freakish (2016)
A group of teens figure it out how to survive 'freaks' roaming around while dealing with their own drama
Definitely worth the watch. If you're expecting something similar to the walking dead it's not that. I found this show to be very interesting and loved the initial premise of the chemical spill(expolsion). It is very highschool and some of it is quite predictable. Finished season 1 very quickly and was drawn every episode to watch the next. Season 2 was very well done as well done, the bringing in of other characters was a little off putting at first, but eventually I began to like it. The characters fall into your stereotypical categories, but they all interact so well and are actually quite likeable. Lots of twists. You can tell some aren't the best actors, but I did like them a lot. They were very good at the emotional scenes. One thing that I was honestly surprised with, was how much death there was, I guess in this world with people turning into 'freaks' trapped in something like a school would make it quite hard to survive. Really good teen show that contains emotion, love, drama, death, conviction, teen parent, and honestly just was an interesting watch.
Skating to New York (2013)
This is the story of Five Canadian teens, set out on an adventure, their adventure and how they deal with new oncoming problems. Great movie recommend you watch.
This is the story of five teenage boys, just wanting something new, exciting, and a fun adventure, choosing to skate from a small town in Canada to New York.
They go on a long adventure, with heart break, comedy, and meeting new people along the way. There are dangers thrown at them, but nothing keeps down, even when death and fear are the only clear thing in front of them.
The deepness and thriller parts of the story kept me watching, it gave an interesting perspective, that not all tend to look more toward.
Each kid has their own secrets and demons to deal with, but through courage, and the power of friendship, these five become family, and get to a new start. Shows how much friends mean, when there's nothing left for us, we can still push to be farther and so much more, do something about it, with the support of others.
Loved each personal issues the teens were dealing with, and how some stood up.
Each character was unique and all dealt well with emotional scenes. some of the best actors.
I love this movie, all the actors were brilliantly talented, and amazing. Highly recommend watching this.
