If you're looking for Superbad, don't look here.
19 June 2009
This movie was not quite terrible, but not really funny either. The first half of the movie was not funny, and when it finally did get funny the movie was almost over.

Jack Black is sometimes painful to watch, but Michael Cera makes it bearable. The other characters are minor, and do not in anyway, help move the plot or laughs along.

All of the funny parts are in the trailer for the movie. So, if you're looking for something as funny as Superbad, Knocked Up, The Hangover etc., do not waste your money seeing this in the movie theatre; just rent it when it comes out.

I loved "Sex!"
31 May 2008
After seeing this movie last night with my friend, I truly believe that the writers did an excellent job with the movie.

I became a fan of Sex & the City in the last couple of seasons. I had seen episodes when I was younger, but in the last years with Samantha & Smith, and Miranda & Steve, I really loved it. So, seeing the movie was a big thing for me, and I can say that it wasn't disappointing at all! The movie is set a couple of years after the series ended, with each of the the girls still friends, but in different places of their life. Miranda with Steve and her son, Samantha with Smith in LA, Charlotte with Harry and their daughter Lily, and a successful Carrie with Big.

Each character is still the same as they once were, but just a bit different. Every moment was wonderful, and the whole theatre laughed, cried, and gasped for the bigger moments.

This movie really is amazing, and if you were a fan of Sex before, you won't regret seeing the movie. I give it a 9/10!

Prom Night (I) (2008)

A scary movie? Not really...
12 April 2008
So, Prom Night was supposed to be a horror and thriller movie. I'm a big wuss and was scared to see this movie at the beginning, but upon seeing it, it is neither horror or thriller.

I was basically making fun of the movie in my seat because it was so predictable. You could predict what was going to happen next. The young actors were alright at playing their characters, but I'd have to say the killer was definitely at the top of the game - acting wise.

Yes, I'll give props for the plot because it was good, but it's not thrilling or scary. There were almost zero "jump-in-your-seat" scenes. So, don't waste ten dollars seeing it in theatres, wait 'til it comes to DVD.

pretty good
6 May 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I thought the movie was pretty good. Even though it shows some gross parts && parts you wouldn't believe, I thought it was good.

This movie shows reality. This is what kids && teens go through && deal with. If you don't believe me, then you may need to get a check on reality.

Everyone deals with their life in different ways && maybe people do drugs to calm them, or have sex when their young.

I saw this movie when I was 12 and thought that this stuff couldn't happen, but now I know that most of the kids in my grade probably do drugs and have sex, && they probably started when they were young.

Though, the actors looked a lot older && some of the acting was crappy, it was a pretty good movie && I would recommend you see it.

The best out of the four!
1 December 2005
I have read all of the Harry Potter Series so far and seen all of the movies but this movie disappointed me a bit.

The acting was amazing from all of the characters and you see the drama and angst behind all of the characters. I thought that it was good that the movie didn't just act around Harry and showed Hermione and her beauty through the Yule Ball scene.

The actions and scenery was great too and complimented the acting well. But what disappointed me was how they left out so much of the book that they could have put in the movie. Yes, it would be longer than the 2 1/2 hours already done for it but it would have explained a lot more, I think for the viewers.

Other than that, the movie was truly an amazing experience to watch. And I do think this one was the best out of the four. I'd give it a 9/10!

disappointment
30 June 2005
i was disappointed with this movie. when it first came out i really wanted to see it. But when we watched the movie in class i couldn't believe i actually wanted to see this movie.

I thought Jim Carey was annoying as all the characters especially Count Olaf and he wasn't that funny.

But yes the movie does have its moments and the actors who play the kids (especially the Sunny) are good but i think someone else should have been cast as Count Olaf. I liked the parts when they kept getting switched to different houses because it lead them closer to what secrets their parents were keeping. But thats about all that was good.
