Interesting take on a nature show!
8 August 2020
The stories are interesting and uniquely directed, placing the animals at the center of the story! The scenes and action are completely scripted yet still educational.

The director stated the animals are very carefully filmed with handlers and given the chance to act naturally (not forced). The animals have been filmed separately and it's quite obvious since you never see them interacting with one another, but it's so nicely composed that it actually makes everything appear realistic.

Great show, rewatching for the 6th time!

I watched this Brutish show for the first time in the 90s, when it first appeared in Bulgaria. I love coming back to it every few years. Hilarious interpretation of dramatic times in human history. The cast and storyline are amazing, seem to always go around that damn painting, yet keeping it interesting and continuously developing all characters. Every episode is connected yet a sketch of its own, which makes it very entertaining and engaging. I wish this was easier to find and stream today :(

Engaging, enjoyable, and real

I enjoy how real the setting and characters are. I am delighted to see Lucy Lawless in a lead role again, doing an amazing job (that woman is so talented)! The stories are interesting, but a bit too lightweight at times. It would have been great to see a bit more suspence and thrill!
