Primary Concern (2013)
A poignant documentary about the importance of primary care physicians, and how the lack of PCPs is turning into a health care crisis in America.
This was such a thought-provoking movie. After watching Primary Concern I realized how I've taken access to primary care physicians for granted in my big city. I also learned of the plummeting number of primary care doctors in America. The enormity of this crisis was not lost on me during this moving, engaging, and emotional documentary. The stories shared really drove home the importance of community, especially the relationship of a primary care doctor to that community. The dedication and care given by the physicians in this movie showcase the level of care all people should have access to. I highly recommend all Americans take the time to watch. Hopefully we can all work together to solve this problem. Primary Concern is very relevant to what is happening to the current health-care reform.
