Bikers from Hell....
22 September 2005
If you like bikers, Harley's, or if you're into some simple action entertainment, I really recommend this one.

Not Brian Bosworth is the big star over here, but William Forsythe as the villain Ice Hensley. No doubt that this is one of the best performances of this great actor. This is one of his first really big performances (since this film is made in 1990 and came out in 1991)Not a big performance in a high quality movie, but note his acting...!! Really convincing a a mean biker.

I could tell all things about the movie, but just see it for yourself. But...remember...You have to dig motorbikes, Harley's, William Forsythe or just simple entertainment..

Best time travel adventure!

As a huge BTTF fan, I have to admit that this is the best BTTF flick ever made. It has all the ingredients to please all audience of any age. I personally like the 50's stuff in it, but I am also a huge 80's fan (the present in the movie) and the future is just hilarious. Of course...it has been almost two decades since this movie came out, and now we know that the future that is shown in BTTF 2 is a bit funny, but hey...do you remember Total Recall? Now THAT is also a future that would never see daylight, but at least the BTTF 2 future is amusing.

I have seen this movie over a dozen times, and I tried to find things that don't match, movie mistakes etc. (yes..I am a pain in the ..)but the thing is, I KNOW that there are mistakes (like reflections in window glass) but this movie keeps your mind drifting away, enchanted by the great story and great moments. Of course Spielberg never intended to have more ingredients then the past (50's), the present and the future. But almost 20 years later...it is also a (another) great movie to see what the 80's were all about. (so another great moment for people of my age, born in the late 70's)

I recommend this movie to ANYONE, but watch BTTF(the first movie) first, because you can't watch part 2 or 3 without watching it in the right sequence.

Have fun! (I recommend the trilogy box, you can purchase it anywhere)

Donnie Darko (2001)

Movie great, Score great!
4 March 2005
This is one of my favorite movies all times... Maybe it is because I like cult, but I have also some empathy with Donnie (Jack Gyllenhaal).

It would be ridiculous to state, as a number one fan, that I totally understand the movie. I watched it several times, played the games, did the tests and even THEN it's not always clear what director Richard Kelly is trying to do.

One of the other + things about this movie, is the music. Most of it is written by composer Michael Andrews (you probably heard his Mad World song (taken from Donnie Darko)together with Gary Jules. His scores are superb and with his MiniMoog he knows how to give you the eerie chills! As a producer, I did a hip hop version of one of his scores (by his personal approval), just to let you know how fond I am of this movie. I can't really compare it with others....it is about the time tangent, love, future, history, common things in life. Every teenager (well, not every, but most of them) can identify themselves with Donnie. I can't really tell you too much about the movie and plot, because that would spoil it.

Let me tell you this...after the movie I bough a "dark" o rabbit, named Frank. That is how much I like it. After seen the movie you catch my drift! hahaha Have fun watching it!

Just great
4 March 2005
I really enjoyed this typical 90's flick. Even the score is great with great songs of e.g. Primus. For the people who did not see it (and live in Holland) it is pretty hard to get this film at your local videostore. My suggestion is: order it! If you're into computer games, virtual reality and nineties teen stuff (and no...I don't mean Beverly Hills 90210)just rent/buy this flick, put up your feet, grab some doritos and simply indulge yourself. Together with the T2 movie (to me) this is the only good Edward Furlong movie. (although to be honest, not everything is well acted in this movie) I would say..this is a movie for teenagers, but me (build in 1977) also like this flick. I don't give a ten usually, so I gave a 9.....maybe it is just nostalgia..maybe not. You decide! ;)
