Resident Evil 3 (2020)
Stellar
I was initially put off from playing this because of GameSpot's poor review. However, I am coming to trust GameSpot more and mare. They botched The Ascent's review as well...
With that said, RE3 remake is every bit as fun as the original from my memory. The replay value is great, especially with the shop and challenges. There's a lot of lore hidden. And the nice tie in to RE2 is done very well.
The game came be sped through quickly. However, if you slow down and appreciate all the intricate details, it plays like RE2 but with beefier weaponry.
The visuals are outstanding. Especially on PS5.
Play it.
Senior Year (2022)
Netflix finally takes a stand against woke
I feel like Netflix has been cowing to the mob. This is the first major production that is clearly anti woke. And it couldn't have come at a better time. It's expertly written, acted, and directed. It's full of nuance. It finds a middle ground between the insane left and right. Well done, Netflix.
Shingeki no kyojin (2015)
very cool
I watched the anime and was glad to see a live action movie. I am very pleased. Worth watching. Reminded me a lot of Godzilla and Power rangers lol. I was very curious how they were going to make this movie work, but they did it. Glad I took the time to watch it. My only real complaint is the score isn't really mixed well within the audio overall.
The Kid (2019)
fantastic
I found this film to be full of depth. Excellent storytelling. I really enjoyed it. The writing, the shots, the costumes, the different approach to the billy the kid story. There is something very special here.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Good. Could have been Great.
The writers left opportunity on the table. Characters and outcomes are predictable. They began to explore Rey as more than a one dimensional character, then let it fall flat. She could have ruled the galaxy for another 2.5 films exploring the Sith and selling millions of tickets worldwide. Instead we get the usual song and dance. Writing. All starts with the writing.
Annihilation (2018)
3 watches I've got it, but that's not the point
After my third watch since the movie released, I've grown to love it more and more. Stop trying to put this movie in your box and just enjoy it for the artistic masterpiece that it is.
