... good, yet full truth clearly remains missing
19 May 2024
... a good production, yet has a very cruel streak running through the middle-heart of the storyline... to be in fact left out for so long, only to be brought back in through a twist of circumstance is callously wrong

... cast well chosen and does good work throughout... meaning to get emotional responses, succeeding when-if you can overlook that singular huge admission-omission... even after all opportunity given her she still held off, until she felt-thought herself-selfishly being-wronged

... along with a big piece of the story being left out from that upbeat-ending... wanting you to feel good, yet all-those-lost-decades belie an easily-sought-outcome.

Die Liebe meines Lebens (2001 TV Movie)

... nothing realy-new-special, having just one main attraction
9 May 2024
... there's little about the story that's unusual or very interesting-different... a woman married for a decade to a man she's fallen out of love with, even if she'd ever really loved him that much at all

... casting is what makes this production worth watching... all actors do very well fitting into their respective roles... especially suited is Aglaia Szyszkowitz as Anna, wife and mother of two young boys... falling in deep-love with another man she meets by accident, and forced-having-to-choose between a life of love-passion with this new stranger, or to return-remain with her sons as they grow up... loosing something either way, so saying she made the only choice is not the right or wrong one

... yet this film's ending just doesn't ring-true... sure she loves her kids, but abandoning passion in this way, a woman in her early-thirties-sexual-prime would feel makes-little-sense... if anything, she'd fight for custody of her children and share them... or she'd remain for awhile with her family, eventually returning to her lover... giving him-that-life up-completely-permanently just not making much-real-sense.

Come Undone (2010)

... one of the better films in the genre, more should get to see it
4 May 2024
... Cone Undone (Cosa voglio di più) really is one of the better films in the wife/partner-infidelity-genre... all is good.. script-casting-acting-production.values, all of it... unsatisfied-unhappy in her bland relationship, she quickly gets involved with a married man that has two small children... he just-wants a mistress (and his family), she's looking for a different-exciting-lustful-relationship

... story moves along more or less logically, sex scenes seeming real and intensely-passionate, chemistry between actors exceptionally-good.. blowing up a relationship you're not completely happy in doesn't appear to come at a very high price for her.. it's what she wants-desires

... if the movie were to continue on, how would you want it to go.. do they remain clandestinely-together.. does she find another lover that she can have a life with (more than just couple hours a week)... or does she stay with her live-in-partner without seeking outside-affairs... what's good about the work is that each of these scenarios seem realistically-plausible... real ending's in viewer's mind.

... could they do it again, seems they could
3 May 2024
... not convincing - corny - poor acting - wooden acting - disappointing - predictable, cliché, lacking any subtly and nuance - annoying, but would like to see an improved second season ... these are some of the comments leading reviews from the 4-5-6 rated categories on IMDb, and they're right... wither it's from the actors themselves is questionable, as all of them fall to the same troubles... so, it must be from direction they are being given... and casting must share some of the responsibility as well ... these kinds of shows being much better when having top notch villains, this production does not... nobody here so bad-evil you can't turn away, and luv-hating-them... none even memorable

... someone mentioned hope for the second season.. oh well, it does not come, as the second series is not any better than the first, its only blessing-benefit being that it is as short as the first, less to suffer-through... will there be another.. here's hoping.

... yes, she makes a very likeable-desirable-cougar
2 May 2024
... one of the consistently bankable stars in Hollywood, her movies have earned near $7 billion... here it's another formula storyline done as well as can be expected... she does look great-hot, actually she's really not old at forty-two, with many more good years in front of her... he's very sexy-attractive, and the pair of them together make the production what it is

... the genre is filled with similar works, this one falling into one of the more acceptable category.... not a film going to be watched again and again, but is has some merit... not groundbreaking, yet many will find it worthwhile viewing

... a woman heading into her mid forties already having a kid, there's no talk of her or him and children... fairly big omission in a story where the May-December participants are very serious about one another... not even a mention.

... watched... done... move-on
1 May 2024
... transition from season one to season two required a leap of faith... and season two ends as if the production can-be-over... with little to offer that is not routine, unfunny situations episode upon episode, why it should go on at all is debatable

... cast is adequate for what they've been given to perform... there's lots really annoying at times, and you'll find yourself either sitting waiting for something halfway-meaningful to happen, or fast-forwarding through increasing segments of nondescript-proceedings.. should there be a season three, what more can be accomplished-said.. this really should be over.

... consistently fun to watch, at less than a half hour per episode
28 April 2024
... when viewers go into viewing a program knowing they are going to be watching goofy bizarre characters, they are much more accepting of what they are being shown... such is Lady-Parts... all the characters and all the actors are fun watching... the story is fairly straightforward, with few surprises, and it ends the first season as expected

... everything is not hilarious but there are quite a few very amusing situations and lines, enough to make it better than many others of the genre... season two is now ready for airing... streaming the first six episodes one after another was cool... now waiting week to week for such a short episode will take some getting used to.

... another poor decision by network TV executives
27 April 2024
... this was a show that should not have been ended... premiered October 2022, ended March 2023... May 2023, series was canceled by ABC after just one season, and was removed from Hulu July 2023... so in ten months it came and was gone... "the core message about the importance of local journalism fit to print" not making it through brutal TV rating-system-wars

... a well written-acted-produced show let down by TV executives only want viewership, not-good-valuable-informative-content... here on IMDb getting a solid 7.5 of 10 rating... people who see it, like the production... it should have gone on longer, a well told story about abuse of indigenous people.. its first season not enough to keep it alive... most wrong decision ABC.

... what they're doing is not as easy as they make it appear ... yet they each do it all so well
23 April 2024
... sometimes you are better off not knowing anything about a production before starting watching, sometimes the opposite... here not looking for flaws has great benefits, as you just then are able to watch all the craziness and not be influenced by anyone's thoughts-critique... it's the only way to accepting the pleasures of such nuttiness

... and there's really lots-to-like... the entire cast with little exception are absolutely terrific... many shows of this genre are not really this amusing, so well done in their entirety... here in YSNL you'll find yourself laughing-amused much more than you thought you ever might... accept all the glorious confusion as being completely not normal, not trying to make sense of any of it, until the very ending of S2, as things become clear

... so don't read anything beforehand, go in clean slate... odds are you'll be rewarded for that choice... then you'll so be looking forward to Season 3... REALLY-looking-forward to it... part 3 of their next installment of insanity... with the introduction of what would appear an interesting-nutty-new-character... probably more, coming from our ever-persecuted leading-lady's new surroundings.

... few films you feel the characters emotions so deeply
18 April 2024
... this is a film should you not feel much for what her character goes through, you'll miss the point of lots of really good acting skills and very good movies in addition

... she has such range, they both do... matched together they give one of the really great film productions of 2022... lots going on onscreen, and all of it you feel so directly, even though you might never have been a part of any of it... as said, they're always good, this is one film that must be watched again, and it will loose nothing in more viewings.. a timeless work by great actors of today... still having many years-works remaining in their careers.

... very average, with an asterisk
18 April 2024
... made on a budget of $25 million, Anyone but You so far has grossed ten-times-that amount... so yes, for the fortunate-lucky-producers, it is a very big-winning-production... as far as the movie itself goes, it's far from one of the top-rom-coms... attractive cast, doing very little above average of the genre... Sweeney's-bosom* creating more-interest-sensation than the storyline itself generates

... paying to go see it in a theater for most would never happen... probably watching-streaming it without fast-forwarding, same... that critiquing producer panning her acting and the film itself was a mistake, which sure she now realizes, considering the uproar it caused.

... good, yet with a bit more bite to the story, it could have really been much better
14 April 2024
... way all the storylines get tidied up nice and neatly at he ending is okay, if just a bit unrealistically-boring... it's well-done-acted-fun in Norway, just a bit more bite would have made it better

... one critic's review summing it pretty well.. "(were) this a longer show, there'd be time to understand the characters, find favorites, and support them in their finest glory, but with five episodes, there isn't really any emotional impact. Though the show does attempt to bring to the forefront the idiosyncrasies of each member present, it kind of leaves you a little bit unsatisfied. However, I will admit that the cast is fantastic, and each member brings nuanced performances and stands out individually. Still, it's a formulaic drama that has your betrayals, guilt, and misunderstandings to make it entertaining rather than feeling like you're watching a boring old family gathering."

... definitely worth a watch, just don't expect much from all the hectic-proceedings.

... this a case really needing half-star-ratings.. giving it a 5.5
12 April 2024
... takes a lot to imagine these two not hooking-up for a span of couple decades... once-if you get past that huge obstacle, then maybe all the rest works for you as well... she's really the only reason many will stick through episode after episode, of pretty much same storyline being milked through, having couple episodes more than were really necessary

... you don't actually need to get to the ending, for when-by time it comes, you've wanted it to be long over... some folks mention the younger couple don't look anywhere enough like the same pair twenty years on... as if that should be this production's main issue.

... what is comedy... how does this fit into its definition
5 April 2024
... by the end of these increasingly annoying episodes, all you want is for them to end this misery one way or another... separate - split-up - divorce - whatever... but just end this continually annoying dialogue and all the irritating characters associated with all of it

... is it that 'comedy' can be so humorless-irritating that it's not at all funny, yet still be classified as comedy.. well then this productions has achieved those heights... one character outdoing another in every irritable scene after another... what has been achieved here is not easy to replicate or watch... good luck making it all the way through the last episode.

... watch two episodes, then decide if to continue
16 March 2024
... a well received-rated Netflix series, The Gentlemen is the most highly rated production Scodelario's been a part since Skins, which ran from 2007 to 2013... The Gentlemen is pretty much a formula work, and hers a complimentary fit... not acting as much as filling a role that doesn't change-require-much, at least through the first several episodes watched

... her partner in this caper Theo James, now forty years old appears younger, looking nearer her age than his own... they both do well together, and this all could continue on into another season, but according to sites like Next Episode it has been 'canceled/ended'.. oh well, remaining episodes to be watched need-might give a clue as to its apparent early-demise.

15 March 2024
... year upon year, there are many productions of this genre.. this one of the better ones... all facets working well together bring an entertaining series into two seasons so far

... several great characters have been removed, so if going now into a third-season-series, they shall need be replaced by others hopefully as good... getting good reviews from many viewers, rightfully so, as it's not that easy a task as this show makes it appear

... another season up to similar standards not much to ask, but never that easy to achieve... this part of the world knows how to create entertaining-crime-dramas... keep-'em-coming.

... could have been done better, cast good enough
7 March 2024
... far as movies of the infidelity-drama-genre are concerned, this one is not all that bad... struggling with language translations of browser extension doesn't help either... casting was good... acting's pretty decent.. storyline gets muddled with business-side-stories having little interest

... films should evolve around well created stories... an attractive middle-aged business-woman with husband and teen daughter, bored with her sex life, trips herself up with an affair of ulterior motive... okay

... would it end in real life as in the film.. possibly ... it's just all in its entirety, not all that interesting.

.... on-and-on-and-on... please-stop
4 March 2024
... this story no way required two seasons, eighteen episodes for telling... at the end of all these drawn out storylines, there was not one character garnering any positive vibes... they all were annoying through and through

... overall the acting and production values were very passable, with the exception of one of the leading actors that at times overacted so extremely as to be ludicrous ... why so many good actors were wasted on this excessive production, only fault of those ultimately responsible for putting it all together

... this was-should-is would-be a decent mini-series-work.. any more, story-plot's just not there.

... another pretty yet mostly unmemorable one
2 March 2024
"When asked about a potential return for the series, she (Stiles) said: "I loved making that show. The pandemic kind of put a wrench in us doing any... there were talks about doing another season, and then the world shut down. And it was just like, it's such an international show. It was just going to be too expensive and complicated to make another one." ~ Radio Times, August, 2022

... this was after three seasons aired (ending 2020)... don't remember now watching the series, so guess it must have been pretty to look at but can't recall watching it at all... have always liked her work though

... Covid caused lots of casualties, continuation of this series another one.

... slight differences in just a couple of categories making world of difference
28 February 2024
... of all the written-viewer-reviews to date... two are highly complimentary, all remaining run from so-so to exceptionally-poor... actually Belgravia: Next Chapter falling somewhere in-upper-between... a decent watch, yet not so good as past Julian Fellowes creations

... Belgravia had several memorable characters, in the Next Chapter it requires straining to come up with more than the show's lead... with only a couple more episodes remaining there's little time for recovery-saving of this season... being very well made, and overall acting not as terrible as some would suggest... it's just not what was expected after the original series... all those familiar, well-known-individuals setting a high benchmark for this latest cast to match-compete... they coulda-shoulda carried a couple-three of 'em into this current series, at least for a time

... will there be another 'season' in-of Belgravia ... would like to say hope-so, having reservations-doubts ... but would still try watching it once again, as many others enamored of entertaining-period-drama... and Belgravia still remaining better than host of others in this category

03.11.24 ... next to last episode far best of this season's-series.. ending episode gave more the feeling of your typical Hallmark romantic-drama ... with every storyline thread neatly being tidied-up (even her sister centering on a new prospect).. it feels as if we just might have seen the last of the Belgravia-saga.

... a lot to like, yet not easy to like
23 February 2024
... Expats is not an-easy-watching-experience... hence, so many negative written-reviews... is it well cast, that's always up for debate.. well-written, yes... produced-yes, has exception production values... with Hong-Kong well depicted, in a leading-role

... there is a lot of camera-lingering, and that gets tiresome after several episodes... what Kidman looks-like irrelevant to the story... without-doubt, the woman can act... all the cast is exceptional

... will there be a next season... Wang says it was made as a "complete-work" and there now exist no plans for S2... yet she's also said "but never-say-never" ... so longer it goes w/o commitment for another series, harder it gets having one come together... TBC.

... splitting hairs... still better than lots out there
22 February 2024
... recently appearing is several very popular series, Peaky Binders, The Diplomat, Gentleman Jack, et al, Sophie Rundel once again is heavily involved leading in the success of this cop-show-drama... yes, you must get past her character being many months pregnant, and yet still very active in dangerous police investigative operations

... that aside, it's got a pretty decent plot-storyline, good-solid acting, with higher than average production values... winding up after six episodes with credible storyline threads heading towards another season series

... reading many of the bad reviews, they are not entirely incorrect.. this is not a perfect story by any means, yet it is entertaining programming, believed to be worthwhile viewing for this, and for the next series should it come about.

Trigger Point (2022– )

... ar times storylines bit vacuous, yet overall show's enjoyable-viewing to a point
21 February 2024
... give the production credit, for it is able sustaining a reasonable amount of suspense-tension, even though we all know they're not about to be killing off the indisputable star of this bomb-squad-series

... and it is of little doubt people are tuning-in-watching because of Vicky McClure, as they have for Line of Duty, Alex Rider and other shows which she's be involved... she is in the lead wherever she goes, handling-herself carrying these productions to whatever success they may achieve

... outside of that only major thoughts are whose going to be killed off, and as for Trigger Point it can-be-is any-everybody else... Line of Duty ran three dozen episodes... it's to be seen if this current production goes least as long, gathering high ratings along the way, but these first couple short seasons are off to a mostly good start.... but they need come up with better season finales... S1 as well as S2 ended with inanely-contrived poorly-scripted episodes... should they not improve why stay watching.

... one of those stories where reality cannot be closely questioned
17 February 2024
... acting super.. production values up there... script well written... all's good, but you cannot help feel after-coming-away that something's amiss... people just don't act this way... being equally madly in love, and then leaving each-other, going years upon years, then again more lengthy periods of time, not once in contact, not speaking with one another... then-bam, contact once again until next absence

... after first couple episodes was all ready to be giving it a ten of ten, then couple more episodes and it's now down to an eight... and so the two remaining episodes are to determine its final rating... all can say is that hope must prevail, it's been far too good up until this point to believe-otherwise

... 02.20.24 - there's bunch of things going on in this intelligent-little-series, and episodes must be viewed more than just one time for the series to be most appreciated... few bitter-sweet rom-com-dramas are nearly-as-good.

... a story didn't require length of two movies to tell it
17 February 2024
... have seen Connie Nielsen in a bunch of works and she's always been good... this production was overall just okay... slow-confusion-phony in several-spots yet overall somewhat worth the time viewing... now in her mid-fifty's she still remains very attractive-alluring, helping carry this production along its shaky path

... casting-misstep-exception to it all is Eccleston... he just does not work-fit-in along w-either of these two women... w/o him in with-them is one feeling, then he comes onscreen and entire dynamic changes instantly... wrong for the part, his acting wrong for the character... in other productions he's been above average... this performance-role here just misses-the-mark-entirely... having-requiring-asking is it the-actor or the-direction that's amiss

... ending's especially messy, script and acting dropping the production down at least another notch possibly two... stars being-as EP's not always valuable to the work.
