Jobs (2013)
Worth more than the current rating
It felt like the critics were a bit harsh with this one. I liked the movie and thought that the portrayal of Steve Jobs was done quite well.
But I guess I liked this movie more because of the memories of computers way back in the 80's.
The images of main-boards and soldering in the garage brings home to me my own PC building days of TRS-80's and Amiga computers.
Sure, the movie didn't cover Job's design and build of iPhone's and iPad's but overall provided a fairly decent insight into the life and times of Steve Jobs.
Oh and I just happen to be writing this review using my Macbook Air, luv it!
Bunnyman (2011)
Did this movie have a budget of $0.99 because that's all it's worth!
I wanted to give this movie a 0 but 1 is the lowest it goes.
Where do I start with this one...
Well let's start with the absolute ZERO acting ability of ALL the actors. They were all pathetic in every way shape and form. It's almost as like the producers grabbed a few people off the street and shoved them into this pitiful excuse for a movie.
On the cover of the DVD it states that it's based on a true story. So I'm assuming that 6 people in a car (3 guys and 3 girls), on a deserted road in the middle of Bum-F**k Idaho couldn't out run a crapped out truck driven by a man in a Bugs bunny outfit, allowing this ONE man to kill them off one by one without ever thinking to themselves at the outset that there's only one of him but six of us. Yeah right!
I found this movie to be more of a comedy than horror. For example, one scene where the first girl gets done in by this bunny wielding a chainsaw, she's just standing there basically waiting for it to happen. No screaming or attempt to run away or any form of self preservation whatsoever! Yep, this movie has it all together when it comes to making you want to believe it was based on true events.
The Wiki review sums this movie up nicely...
28 Days Later Analysis called Bunnyman an incompetent and frustrating mess, gave it a "generous" three out of ten and wrote "atrocious acting, zero character development, no tension, zero sense of pacing, poorly written, continuity errors abound, audio problems, ADR and dubbing, poorly written characters, forced tension, meandering story, etc.
The Amityville Asylum (2013)
Can't get much worse than this
I only rented this movie from my local video shop because another customer said it was pretty good. Last time I take any notice of another customer.
IMDb has rated this movie at 2.6 and I'm thinking that's 2.6 too much for this movie. Should be more like a -2.6 to be more fitting.
About half way into the movie I started to get the feeling of similarities with the "Shutter Island" concept where the main character (Lisa), might just actually be an inmate of the asylum where she's working as a cleaner.
88 minutes of my time wasted when I could had been sitting outside watching the grass grow. That would had been more entertaining!
Thanatomorphose (2012)
Biggest load of crap I've ever watched!!
I simply cannot believe this movie rates a 5.6 when it honestly only deserves a rating of 0.6 Take it from me, this movie is absolute trash! No dialog! No plot! No Acting! Pretty much NO anything! 100 minutes of a woman basically running about naked in her home with her flesh rotting off her and making no attempt to visit a hospital. Are you kidding? Oh and she has a dropkick boyfriend that only comes over for sex and there's a few shots of his junk as well. The cameraman seems to take much pleasure in focusing in on filming these so called actors junk. I would have been better off spending the 100 minutes I did watching this in rearranging my sock drawer instead.
