The Protégé (2021)
OK - Sex with a Senior?
OK movie. Weak plot, decent action. Confused whe 42 year old main character is having sex we super elderly enemy in middle of action. Not a coherent storyline for this and other reasons.
Willy's Wonderland (2021)
Well Produced Stoned College Kids School Project
Movie is ridiculous. Acting is horrible. Plot is DUMB. Dialogue is horrible. You don't root for any of the idiotic characters. Definitely not scary. But very fun to watch, with lots of laughing during the "scary" parts. I love (?) that he keeps cleaning (and drinking) in between each poorly choreographed fight scene.
Force of Nature (2020)
Such a Horrible Movie
This is bad. Really bad. Acting is bad. Plot is ridiculous. Effects are actually funny, but they aren't supposed to be. Painful to watch.
Runaways (2017)
Good show - writing could be improved
I enjoy this show and generally like the story line. Unfortunately, the character-to-character interaction (secondary to the main plot) is painful. I really want to love this, but why is every character lying every single time they talk. The runaways are always lying each other. Always. The Pride members are always lying to each other. Jonah is always lying. Every time somebody gets caught lying, the other characters throw temper tantrums (often like a toddler - throwing a college application in a chocolate fountain and crying?) but then a few scenes later are completely trusting of everybody again and ready to lie / be lied to. I still watch it, but in the background while I do something else as the dialogue is too painful to listen to attentively.
Robot Overlords (2014)
Holy Poop is this Bad
Unbelievably bad. Insultingly so. Not camp, or funny, or art house, or anything of the sort, just bad. Bad effects. Horrible plot. Atrocious acting. Etc. Sir Ben, what were you thinking? I saw him on a talk show the other night and wish the host would have asked him about this turd. Embarrassing to everybody involved, including me the viewer. The crux of the movie is that super advanced robots have taken over the world and install chips in the heads of the few remaining humans to keep tabs on them. If people go outside without permission, the robots kill them. That is until some young children figure out that all you have to do to override the chips is to zap them with some low voltage electricity and then you're free to wander around all you want. Really, no government scientist, PhD in electronics, crazy survivalist, etc. Had every tried tinkering with the robot control chips before? And then to think that some 6 year old could thwart the super advanced alien race that has already taken over this world and others? And on that note, robots and aliens are different things. Why is this movie about really simple robot aliens w/o any mention of actual aliens? Weak!
SAF3 (2013)
Worst Thing on TV
Worst writing I have ever seen in any show ever. Old man walks into a room while people are nursing coffee and making breakfast, randomly says "don't leave me hanging", everybody jumps up and starts dancing to a Robin Thicke sounding song like it is Beach Blanket Bingo or something, old man walks out. Seriously can't imagine worse writing from public high school students. Every single exchange is forced and fake sounding. A woman who was helping fight a fire is lying down on the ground, so hurt she's about to get burned up by the quickly approaching fire. Luckily the rescuers arrive and ask her what's wrong. "I think I sprained my ankle" she says. The heroic rescuer wraps it three times around with an ace bandage and the woman is saved. What? I created this IMDb account just to submit this report because when I was looking up the series I saw the last person, who obviously works for the show, gave it a 10. I would give it a zero if possible. Couldn't make it through the entire first episode.
