Ahsoka (2023)
So happy with the vibe
I loved Andor but couldn't get into the mandolorian watching a helmet. This has sith and duels and feels like the star wars universe. So happy so far. The bad guys look menacing and not to be trifled with. Ahsoka of course is beloved and i like her apprentice. Over all the vibe is serious with some light levity that really feels like episode 4. I did not have high expectations and so now i am thrilled.

Andor (2022)
Best series out there. Period. Incredible.
This world feels scarily real. The acting is top-tier and keeps surprising me with who shows up as the season grows.
This show has real people, not fantasy characters, with adult emotions, serious choices, and consequences for their actions.
It feels like HBO, grim and darker than Disney's usual shows, but there are no gratuitous scenes for shock effect. Everything serves a purpose, to move the story forward.
As soon as this ends, I will watch it all over again.
Ultimately this show is a masterpiece and a masterclass in storytelling. Thanks to everyone who brought this to the screen. Academy awards to you all.
Captain Marvel (2019)
I see why Stan Lee passed away
Stan Lee couldn't take this movie destroying his legacy.
It has the personality of a slug.
I can't think of a single memorable scene with any fondness.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Lawrence Fishburn can have a chuckle
They couldn't even write a coherent story. There are too many issues to bother listing since every youtube review should cover it.
At least Lawrence Fishburn can have a chuckle that he is not tainted by this garbage plot and execution.
Now you know how good an actor Keanu Reeves is, I never saw this coming.
Eternals (2021)
disappointing
I was supposed to watch on IMAX but there was some licensing issue so a theatre was thrown up to replace it. I didn't notice that it was 3D which horrible to watch, those first scenes were incredibly dark.
Angelina Jolie was wasted on an terrible character, which bugs me no end.
The characters who died, I just felt nothing for them because I barely knew them.
Golden special effects from hand waving had little heft.
Script was terrible. I never felt earth was in danger. Deviants were bland CGI.
As a massive Marvel fanboy, I can't tell you how disappointed I am.
I would really be surprised if they made another, I don't think I would see a sequel in the theatres.
Dune (2021)
One of the best movies in my life
I read the book when I was 11 or 12. Loved it.
I watched the movie last night, it was everything I imagined from the book, and much more.
I think it is in my top 5 movies of all time, in my lifetime.
Capture (2013)
A great show
Overall this was a pretty exciting show designed to appeal to teens into the hunger games as well as adults.
I watched it with an 11yo and we both loved the excitement of choosing our favorite team (Teal) and hating the bad guys (Blue). We were impressed with Red, Green and White teams. The Black team was hilarious.
It has a nice mix of physical competition and social game though the former is more important.
If you go back and watch the first Survivor you can see how a Season 1 can evolve into a great series.
There are some improvements to be made, allow intelligence, strategy and tactics to impact the competition more than pure athletic prowess but overall it was an exciting and fun show and I hope they go on to make a Season 2 with a bigger prize.
