It's not anywhere near as bad as people wrote in many of the reviews. The reviews I read caused me not to watch it right away. I guess since my expectations were low I thought it was very enjoyable. I don't agree with what many of the bad reviewers say. Everyone thinks they are Roger Ebert these days.
It wasn't the best thing I've seen but it was good for many reasons. I liked the main characters and enjoyed their performances. I liked how the David Chen's character kept us guessing. For many episodes we didn't know if he was a bad guy or not. I thought Lau Chen was portrayed very well by Katie Lung. A carefree millennial or post millennial who isn't going to become empathetic right off the bat. By the end, Jonah has earned her trust and she opens up.
I could go on. Give it a chance and you will enjoy this dramatic thriller.
