Jurassic Park (1993)
10/10
Groundbreaking!
20 September 2006
Steven Spielberg has made yet another masterpiece, this film which has groundbreaking special effects, a great cast and an amazing score revolutionised film making. Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Richard Attenborough. The story starts with John Hammond (Attenborough) opening a park for genetically recreated Dinosaurs and he invites paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill) & Paleobotonis Ellie Sttler (Laura Dern) as well as Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and expert in Chaos Therory to view the park, needless to say the Dinosaurs get loose and all hell breaks loose. Jurassic Park had amazing special effects which can still compare to todays & this film paved the way for special effects for such films as "Spiderman" & "The Day After Tomorrow". I give Jurassic Park 8/10

Halloween (1978)
8/10
Best Horror movie ever!
19 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Forget The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, A Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday the 13th, Halloween simply unbeatable in the horror genre. The film stars legend Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis in her first movie role. Halloween tells the story of Michael Myers who fifteen years ago brutally massacred his sister with a trademark butchers knife. Now after escaping from a mental home has gone back to his home town to kill a load of babysitters (Jamie Lee Curtis, PJ Soles and Nancy Loomis) but Michael is being tracked by his doctor Sam Loomis (Pleasence) and Chief of police Leigh Brackett (Charles Cyphers). This film has lack of blood and gore but that doesn't matter because of all the suspense and chilling John Carpenter soundtrack. Halloween is the best in the Halloween franchise and I the remake dose this classic proud. Igive Halloween 8/10

Hilarious!

Warning: Spoilers
This film is one of the funniest films that i have seen, the film stars Academy Award winner Robert DeNiro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson. The film starts of with male nurse Gaylord "Greg" Focker (Stiller) wanting to marry Pam (Polo)but to do this he must first ask Pam's ex CIA agent father Jack (DeNiro) for her hand in marriage. Gaylord's quest for approval gets sidetracked as Murphey's law takes over and a whole string of mishaps begin to happen. The jokes about Gaylord's name never get tiring in this film and both Stiller and DeNiro give great performances, from the director of the Austin Powers Trillogy Jay Roach comes another hilarious film, I recommend to anyone who hasn't seen this movie to go out and find a copy. I give Meet the Parents 7/10

Not as bad as people say!
14 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Some people say that this film was a major let down, but as far as sequels go this is one of the best. Although it isn't as good as the first film this is way better than the third. The lost World takes place on a different island to the first, on this second island the dinosaurs get to roam around freely. John Hammond (Richard Attenborough)asks Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) to go to this island and document the creatures. Malcolm finds out that his girl friend Sarah (Julianne Moore) has already arrived on the island. When Malcolm arrives on the island he finds out that his daughter has stowed away in one of the trailers. Also there is another team to try and capture the dinosaurs, eventually the two teams have to work together to try and survive the island. Although this film Doesn't measure up two the first it is a good try. I give this film 6/10
