I was going to walk out in the middle of the movie.

I am 36 years old and for the first time in my whole life I was thinking of leaving the theater after two hours of this completely empty visual spectacle...

My wife wanted to finish it, so we did. And we both regret it.

Visually? Beautiful. But thirty minutes of that is enough. Watch 30 minutes, walk away, you'll love it.

Honestly it is very easy to cut the runtime in half. The amount of loose ends, meaningless arches and the absolutely unempathetic characters (new and old) turned a bad movie into a torture for the last 60 minutes.

It is that bad.

Worst movie I remember watching in theaters was Dreamcatcher, this one took its place.

I can't believe people actually read the script and said "yeah, let's do it"

Warning: Spoilers
You can guess who the killer is in the beginning of the movie. That in itself wouldn't be so bad if it had a nice developed story. Man...

Get this: an armed cop, chief of police Angie played by Marisol Nichols, enters a room, sees THE UNARMED KILLER STANDING STILL IN A WELL LIT ROOM, PICK UP HER GUN and try to go back to the door she just entered. Instead of SHOOTING THE KILLER, she shoots the door once and start to scream and get nervous shooting amok because she NOW can't see nothing as the killer throws cans of gas to put her down. All of this happens in the precinct, full of cops.

She had plenty of time and chance to aim clearly and shoot the killer in his private parts if she wanted. But hey, that way we wouldn't have a movie right?

I guess that thought was on the head of every member of the cast, every single day, as the movie was being made and people actually realized all the dumb things they were working to pull off.

It is unbelievable. And this is just one scene, I could cover the entire movie.

Chris Rock throws one of the worst performances of the year. An actual rock would've done a better job.

I've always hoped to see a good Saw movie, but they stopped making those after the second one...

A movie to watch at least once a year
4 May 2021
I absolutely love this film; it contains that cozy atmosphere that suits a perfect rainy lazy afternoon program. Although its plot may seem a little grim, it is in the most funny possible way. Its filled with absurdity, but in a way that feels very fluid and natural to that particular situation and characters.

I don't give it a perfect 10 because, however painful it is for me to admit this (because his one of the greatest actors of his generation), Cary Grant delivers an over the top perfomance that sometimes is just annoying. His character is supposed to lead the viewer through the absurdity of the situation but ends up - involuntarily - being just another crazy piece of the scheme.

But this in no way removes the charm of the movie: is just something that, for me (having watched several times), end up drawing too much attention in a not so funny way.

Star Wars is not a religion

Don't believe all the negative reviews. It's a fine adventure movie as it is supposed to be.

It gives answers to most (if not all) unanswered questions amongst non-stop exciting action sequences. Are all those answers great? No. But how are they supposed to live up to the expectations of people who think they own the movie?

It has its flaws but it is a satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga.

If you don't have a list of all the specific things you want from this movie and you're all about enjoying the ride (which doesn't make you less a fan of the saga, just not a dull one) this is the movie for you.

Can't understand the low ratings

It is a great thriller with a good dose of comedy. It doesn't set out to be taken seriously, it is just a great hour and a half of fun. Just a great watch. Give it a chance; I would love to watch more titles like this one.

It doesn't waste time with useless background, we all know what we need right from the start and that's it. After that, it's just a fun ride.

Samara Weaving is the absolute best, she mixes fear, irony, humor and toughness like no one else. Loved her in The Babysitter and in this one.

Just go for it.
