Bizarre, intriguing, dynamic
6 July 2023
Season 1 is a madcap mystery detective story. There are few equally entertaining and WTH just happened kinds of shows.

The storyline hops, jumps, collides, and coalesces in a way that moves the narrative forward as the mystery unravels. Innovative and chaotic, yet always purposeful. At the end, most of the bizarre elements fall into place

Thoroughly entertaining.

Maybe the best Douglas Adams interpolation to the screen.

Season 2 becomes lost in a less driven storyline, although there are some good actors and characters, the indirect narrative breaks down, almost wish the alternate universe had been barely covered.

A great bit of unserious dark comedy

Dark, yet lighthearted; no truly likable characters, but an earnestness which makes you root for them. Final act is incredible, made me laugh out loud, a lot. A fun movie, light (yet dark) entertainment.

Good, but not great

If they hold true to the foreshadowing, part 2 could be very good. The machinations of the BG to set the stage definitely got better emphasis here. Hope they get into the other orders to some level of detail other than the weird physical quirks of the Mentats. Visually engrossing.

Great Series - use subtitles
28 December 2020
This is a well made, high production value, historical drama. Definitely worth the subtitle effort to avoid the dub (the dub sounds luke a HS theater dept made it). Solid acting, a good plot, character development and pacing. Left me wanting the next episode after finishing the 5 episode run in an evening.
