Albert Nobbs (2011)
I expected more
To be completely fine, I didn't even end up watching the whole trailer of this movie. I was already so excited about it ! The idea of this waiter being a woman undercover, and than seeing him discovering that he wasn't the only one...it all sounded amazing for an amazing story, that wasn't develop. I really expected much from the plot itself that, I need to say, was poor! The fact that ONLY at the end everyone discover that he's a woman...well that should have been the center of the story, but basically it ended up being a secondary element that we get to remember when he talks with Mary and when he's by himself. I really liked the first scenes though, if you do not watch the trailer in advance, as I silly did, you can never expect this sudden revelation !
Her (2013)
I can't find an adjective
When the movie started, after few minutes i started thinking about how importance technology is nowadays for us. This is strange to think, realize and, in some way, admit and accept. I than payed more attention to the movie as i should have done in first place. Let's say that when i arrived at the end, i didn't know what adjective i could use to describe it. The perfect word would be a mixture between creepy, fascinating, awkward and deep. In some moments i felt like i was judging Theodore's life, although i found myself in his ''depress00 situation as well. But in other moment i completely understood what he felt for Samantha and the mountains of feelings he had to take in. I can definitely say that this is one of those movie that you can hate or love. I find myself kinda in the middle. i LIKED it. Probably to watch it all over again would be an experiment to do in order to fully understand the movie. The quality and the definition of the photography is insane, i adore it! Always the perfect lighting :)
The Reader (2008)
this movie can been descibed with 'ingenious'
As i wrote up in the summary, the movie it's ingenious. From the trailer is impossible to fully understand what's the movie about and this is probably why it took me time to finally watch it. The plot itself is already genial but the thing i like the most are the twists during the story, such as Hanna's secret or other elements. I like how there's never a complete answer, i like to see how, during short flashbacks it's possible to notice some elements that at first seemed ordinary. The end is smooth and brilliant at the same time. The past and the present are often in connection and the scenes with the tapes, that was my favourite. Really good movie!
Mona Lisa Smile (2003)
Great movie, just a little critic.
This movie is absolutely interesting in the way of view that the women had at ''that time'' if i can use this definition for 60 years ago. I really enjoyed watching it, was nice to see how the story evolved, was really good organize. The only one aspect that i'm afraid i have to criticized is that, in my opinion, the relationship that the protagonist had with the Italian teacher was something that the story had to contain until the end. In complex i would give a 7.5 at the movie (thing that i can't do...you should add half votes i guess). The absolute change that involves some character is amazing; the fact that Betty, who was the girl used to be against everything that was said by the teacher, at the end is the one who's the most attached to Katherine.
Intouchables (2011)
What a great movie!
I heard about this movie for such a long time and when i finally saw it last night i realized how right were the people that talk good about this movie. The dynamic of the movie is really interesting and every character is well composed, no one at the end has his story incomplete or anything like that. Was also amazing to see, at the end of the movie, the small video with the real Philippe and Driss. Is amazing just to think about the real story of those people, i can say that i tried to substitute the character i got in my head after have seen the movie with the real person i saw at the end. The story of Driss' family (i was afraid) was going to be used too much to change the character, or just to make him look in a different way through the movie; Luckily it didn't. This movie is definitely going in my 'Best Movies' list
Fun Size (2012)
Comedy/romantic/sad moments
This movie is hard to describes. There are sad and romantic moments put at the end of it and comic moments for the rest of the movie. The kind of comedy used in this movie is particular because we can find ''American Pie's sense of humor'' (as the chicken behind the car in the fast food scene) or humorists expression and actions made by little spider man (that are my favorites).
In my opinion the movie had to cut of the sad part that is interesting itself but that loses its meaning in a fun movie. The fact that there are these 3 topics all together makes this movie ordinary as any other American movie of this kind. The character of the mother is really interesting! Those minutes in which she says more or less everything about her life during the Halloween party, when she sits in the living room, is so emotional because we can see how the revolutionary mum who goes to party and stuff...changes completely, and we see the reason of that attitude and is my opinion it was a really good moment to develop in a great way!
The Man in the Moon (1991)
Story itself (topics) and final scene (SPOILERS)
The movie itself is really good! The story contains a lot of interesting topics that maybe should have been developed in a different way (as the love of younger girl for an older boy). The final scene is what (in my opinion) ruined the whole movie, and that's why i haven't give it a 10 or a 9. The fact that Court creates a fight between the sisters should be the beginning of a big part of the story, not an episode that is developed in the last 20 minutes or something, that concludes itself with the death of the young man and the resolution in 5 minutes of the sisters' fight. Maybe to not introduce this final part or to put it in advance was going to be the best choice.
