Alaskan Killer Bigfoot (2021)
Well.....
I really love the history. I love abandoned places, and also bigfoot. I wanted to love this show.
With that said their reactions are like bad acting. Every single thing is bigfoot, or made by bigfoot, marked by bigfoot, etc... Just seemed very fake. I'm also wondering if the old interviews are new ones that they made look old by editing them.
Very suspect. Watch for the history of the area. That is the most interesting part.
A Christmas Switch (2018)
Christmas fun
Is it deep? Not really. Is it incredible? No. But it's fun and that what a Christmas movie should be. The little girl is super cute, and it's fairly enjoyable.
The Hurricane Heist (2018)
No zero option
It's bad. Super bad. No realism whatsoever. Not even Jason Stackhouse from true blood, or irina from twilight can save this crap fest. The plot could have made for a great movie. Instead we got this.
The Package (2018)
If you like crude humor.....
.... then this movie is for you. It was a different premise for a movie like this, and sue me, but I liked it. I think the female lead was the best actor. This won't win any acting awards, but take it for what it is....a fun, crude humor type movie. It wasn't terrible, it wasn't great, but it did manage to keep my attention. That counts for something right there. If you like American pie then give this a whirl. It's graphic, but not really in a sexy way.
Naked (2017)
Glad I took a chance on this movie.
Is this going to win an Oscar? No. But it is entertaining. It managed to keep my attention the entire time and while there were a few overly cheesy moments it still panned out to be pretty funny.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Scott Foley. The only performances that I found a bit over the top were the maid of honor and the mother. I know it's a goofy comedy and it's not their acting skills, just the direction of the characters that made them seem unbelievable.
It's a revisit, if you will, to a modern Groundhog Day which I've always loved the premise of so I knew I'd probably enjoy this movie. Another unoriginal movie in a way, but that's Hollywood for you nowadays.
Watch this and laugh. It's not deep, it's not meant to be. It's meant to be entertaining.
Contracted (2013)
Sighs
First of all, duh. There may be a spoiler.
This movie started slowish but turned more interesting once the lead actress started exhibiting nasty symptoms of an unknown disease.
What blew it for me though was everyone, including said actress, totally ignoring how horrible she looked. I'd be in the ER immediately after the first issue, at least by the second.
I don't understand why they didn't write it so she was admitted somewhere, hospital, CDC? Seems obvious to me and much more believable. Maybe in hospital she could've escaped her room and had sex with an unconscious patient, or a male nurse to have spread the disease for the next movie. It could have shown them stumped by the virus and trying to figure it out. I would've ended it with the hospital catching on fire by accident so all the infected were killed. Except for the person she had sex with in hospital, they could've left before the fire.
Honestly anything would have been better than everyone pretending she wasn't horrificly sick. It ruined it.
Main actress was not too bad. I thought the mothers acting was pretty unbelievable, but the script probably didn't help that. My mum would have dragged me to the hospital, or called an ambulance.
I rated a 4 because I like gory stuff and the effects were pretty good. I enjoyed the concept of the movie, just hated most of the script. I didn't detest it. I just hated how idiotic they made people to her disease.
With a bigger budget and better script the movie could've been amazing. Sadly we'll never know.
Into the Storm (2014)
Exactly what you'd expect
It's a disaster movie.... sure it's not an Oscar winner, but the special effects were stunning. So stunning that I can overlook some of the poor writing/acting, although I didn't find it horrendous. People that go to see this don't expect an award winning movie.... Right? You go because you love disaster movies... It was a fun summer flick if you like the genre. If not stay home. I scored it an 8 because it was one of the better disaster movies I've watched, and I've seen a lot of them. I actually felt a little stressed out at times and had to remember it wasn't real. I'd say that is exactly what a disaster movie is supposed to do.
