Anne (2022)
Just the right balance
I really felt that this drama was handled in a very real and realistic way! The excellent acting from all the cast was balanced ,the contradictions came thick and fast and the approach from Kevin's mom;another excellent performance from Maxine Peake.
6 Days (2017)
6 days crammed into too short a film!
Having read and watched various clips and documentation on this key event at the start of the eighties, this film plodded in a fast sort of way missing out on crucial aspects of the siege. Sat through it, mumbling at every missed link in the timeline, until the actual storming of the embassy, where the soldiers moved so slow, that I'm surprised the terrorists didn't wake up and kill more people, felt very letdown and misinformed!
Double Indemnity (1944)
Confused about that accident!
This is brilliant from all three leads, great acting and Stanwyck is stunning as the 'femme fatal'....my only exception to the plot was Dietrichsen breaking his leg....didn't that man take out an accident policy , or am I missing something!
MotherFatherSon (2019)
Early days
This might develop into a great series, but I think that even this stellar cast can't keep this languid plot alive!
Bodyguard (2018)
Wooden and ludicrous!
From the start the whole storyline was very far fetched and I felt the acting was a tad wooden and stilted. So looking forward to this, with the great cast on offer, story line from the start was clichéd and ludicrous;the home secretary is allowed to have a take away, me thinks! I will stick with the rest, hoping for improvement.
