This movie is just very disappointing simply because it is extremely unnecessary. It seems like there was nothing new or left even from the first movie to tell. Instead, we find the movie taking an extremely predictable plot with all the boring religious shenanigans.
Also, can you even succeed in making more boring characters? Sebastian looks like El Professor from La Casa De Papel and that's the only likable thing about him. Why should I even care when I know so little about him?
You know how recent releases for movies within the "natural disaster" genre try to one up their flashbacks scenes and make it more and more impressive? Well this movie doesn't even try! Some flashbacks are played so safe you wonder why they even exist. Also, due to the plot being so thin, the flashbacks doesn't give you answers to your questions till the very end. Literally nothing is more annoying than you feeling that the director is withholding information from you for no reason. You will have questions for more than one hour and they will remain unanswered. But that's okay, right? As long as the movie stays fresh and interesting you are golden! Well, instead, this movie is extremely predictable and the writing is just so bland and boring.
