Could be good but ...

This series could be excellent. Ten stars potential. If it weren't for these transgressions of the limits of realism in only one part of the story. The whole story around and the person of Beth is exaggerated beyond measure and also functionless for the story. The long shots with her tirades are just annoying and skippable. Even the acting is reduced to one-face-acting. Too bad, because that affects the whole series then but very much. Otherwise, the series is an insanely good Western revival. Good music, good pictures, good characters, an excellent, convincing setting that you may dive deep into.

It's all in the story

This series is an achievement. The story telling is immersive. So much is happening episode by episode. The authentic story is just made round by fictional elements, after each episode you read on Wikipedia about the background story. The characters are really strong, Pablo's facing expression alone is worth watching the series. And Pablo at all, you hate him so much and at least you'll suffer and miss that guy. Watch and see! I'm really sad that it's over now. And I can't imagine how the follow-ups should work without Escobar.

Sensitive, touching, worth watching
5 November 2011
This movie is kind of a intimate psychological documentary. It has certainly a very small plot, but it is incredibly moving. It lets you enter the privacy of mostly common people committing very common sins like a million other people commit every day. And it shows the emotional impact of it that can change your life. The cinematography and storytelling style is very modern and reminds of creating a video blog. Also the implications of social media in everyday life does certainly play a role in the plot. But I wouldn't say that the movie is too self-reflective or pays too much attention for the online media. The emphasis lies on the real social relationship that is developing between the characters and the lies on which it is built. Very well executed, very sensitive, very touching, very worth watching.
