Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Critics are too harsh
Ok so indeed, the plot is average. Some scenes are unbelievably stupid (the huge cruiser spitting 2 laser blasts every 5s against a tiny unarmed vessel but barely hit it in 10 minutes, really?)
And Ewan... well he is soulless in his over the top Queen's English moving through it without conviction or even a small flame.
But that change it all when he plays with Leia. The actress is exceptional and she alone lights up Ewan. The chemistry is incredible.
The final fight between Obi Wan and Vador also is sensational.
It wasn't as good as it should have been. But Leia really saves the day and the series shows how much she is a more interesting character than Luke and probably the most interesting character of the whole SW universe.
This creates a legacy and nicely fills gaps of what happened before episode IV.
Mauvaises herbes (2018)
Funnier than American Comedy
Yet the simplicity of the message makes its delivery flawless. I think I'm becoming am absolute Kheiron aficionado.
What a modest yet powerful and hilarious movie!
Red Sparrow (2018)
Stylish success
Spy movies aren't my favourite. But I enjoyed this one as much at the first M:I.
Ok the fake Russian accents are indeed unnecessary and embarrassing. Appart from that the adult scene are the steamiest I've seen in a while, the scenario twists and suspenses are almost perfect and I found each actor very credible of not good. This is a far better movie than current ratings are suggesting.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
I simply cannot let this film have 8 stars
Sometimes you wonder if critics are not paid by Disney. I am not an anti-corporate guy and I did not have crazy expectations for this movie. But...
You cannot make a sequel by replicating the same story all over again. This is unacceptable. Have the scenarists received money to do this? I cannot believe it.
The fans have brought so much imagination imagining some exciting scenarios, but Abrams went for a "No Chance taken" plot that was so disappointing. There is nothing in this movie. No Sci-Fi imagination, no emotions (even the hero's death is failed).
OK the new actors aren't too bad, apart for when Adam Driver takes off the mask and Harrison Ford gives us a real performance. But that's about it.
Seriously this movie is a 6. How can people here be satisfied with the tasteless soup they saw???
