Surviving Christmas (2004)
Drink plenty of spiked nog before going to this egg yolk
There had to be some logic as to why this movie opened so early in the year , way before Christmas season.. I guess the distributer knew it was a dud and the previews didn't get decent reviews from film critics. My recommendation is to wait for the real holiday family films to open.
Far from being the worst movie I've ever seen, it could have been so much better considering the great cast, but even this ensemble could instill the charm needed to make this a hit.
My suggestion is to get really soused on spiked egg nog before buying a ticket to this turkey. Then one of two things will happen. You will either find Affleck funny with his over- over acting or you will pass out and forget you ever saw it. Now I don't recommend drinking and driving so wait until it comes out on video and watch it in the safety of you own living room.
Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal (2004)
Facts are Facts
I ordered this DVD from the internet site and watched it with friends at the VFW two days ago. I did not relate this to the current political climate but to the vitriol feelings that many if not most Vietnam Veterans feel towards John Kerry. These pows/ veterans in the film are entitled to what ever emotions and/or truths they hold dear. Their voices will definitely touch your souls and your conscience.
How can one dispute testimony by the Winter Soldiers before Congress. They're documented facts in both ink and celluloid. If you never see the video at least read the transcripts. So IMDb users who dispute what Red, White and Blue Production are distributing have to be "a special kind of stupid." We shouldn't rewrite history for the sake of an opportunist with deep pockets or because we don't like the messenger.
Only a few individuals will ever see this one sided documentary but I have to admit its the best 20 dollars I've ever spent.
